does the mic slide up or detach? null

It slides up (which disables the Mic) and is supposedly detachable according to instructions, but I haven't done it myself.

The mic doesn’t detach as far as I’ve noticed but it does slide up and down

The microphone flips up to be flush with head band getting it out of the way

The mic goes up and down, when in the down position you'll hear that the mic has been activated. And when in the up position you'll hear mic is off.

Yes, it slides up. There's also a mute button on the left above the volume control.
