Yes it does you're able to have suction only or turn on the brush

Generally, the hose an extension wand are great for hard-to-reach areas, while the cleaner head will be designed for use across both hard floors and carpet. Dyson vacuums are engineered to effectively remove dust, dirt and pet hair from all floor types. Dyson Cinetic Big Ball™ vacuums will also include a dedicated brush bar button which will stop the brush bar from spinning, whenever needed. That said, while we don't expect problems with using your Dyson across hard floors, if you're ever concerned about using your Dyson across any particular floor type, we would always recommend contacting your flooring manufacturer for recommendations on the care and maintenance of their product.
