Yes you can. Actually the handles are on the side, itcomes without the handles on, you have to out install them, they provide the screws.

RAL, there are specific instructions to removing the handles on the refrigerator. They are located in the use and care guide on page 5.

Yes the handles can be taken off. The Geek Squad had to remove mine so I definitely know it can be done.
