Does this device connect wired and wireless? null

Yes. You can set it up using wired or WPS on your router and extender. It has an Ethernet port on the bottom so you are able to connect it to any device that accepts Ethernet. I have it wired, but will sometimes move the extender closer to my gaming console and plug it in wired.
