Your phone is an Android, so it should work. Just plug your Galaxy into your car's USB port and the Android auto should automatically turn on. For reference, my phone is a Pixel 4a and the Pioneer unit automatically turns on the Android auto as soon as I plug my Pixel 4a into the USB.
