I have shared this model's user manual link below. Please access the link and turn to page 21 to change the brightness of the light. The light has 3 brightness levels and can be turned off. The light does not automatically turn off like a refrigerator most refrigerators.

You need to read the owners manual. You can change this setting. I think you just press the “light” button and toggle through the settings.
