Hi DD, Yes, the Samsung HW-C400 soundbar will work with your UN40D6000SFXZA TV. To control the soundbar volume with your TV remote, do this: 1. Connect the Soundbar Best option: Use an optical cable Plug it from the TV’s Optical Out to the soundbar’s Digital Audio In (Optical). Set the soundbar to D.IN mode. Or use Bluetooth If your TV supports it (this older model might not), pair it with the soundbar. 2.
