The battery life is abysmal, the keyboard placement is awkward, and the speakers are tinny.

This Chromebook delivers. Fast, soooo easy to use. It’s my first time w a Chromebook and I am getting used to it but I like it so far. I like that it automatically opens my gmail. Would recommend for people who want the simplicity of apple but a “little more microsoft.” Great battery life, I don’t have to worry. My only complaint so far is the keyboard key placement. I’m used to the traditional keyboard. But u can get yourself another keyboard and connect it.

This is an excellent Chromebook for the price. With its 8GB memory and Intel i3 processor, it can handle daily workloads with ease. And this is a Chromebook Plus so that it will receive updates till - get this - 2032! The only drawbacks (completely understandable at the price) are that it is quite heavy and not very portable (the size also makes it less portable), it does not have a backlit keyboard, and it does not have a touchscreen. But again, for the price you are paying, you cannot expect that. As long as you are not thinking of lugging it around or working in a dimly lit room, it can be your primary workhouse for many a home for years to come.

I got this laptop on sale for around $300 and for that price, this Chromebook is an absolute steal. It is fast, the keyboard is great, and the screen size allows me to actually get work done. Battery life is also very good. I would recommend this at full price as it is a Chromebook Plus model but if you can keep an eye out for sales, this is an incredible machine for the sale price.

Great purchase this is the first time I purchased a chromebook. I am hooked. It boots up in seconds. The screen quality is great and did I mention I caught it on sale. The screen is 15.6 which works for me when I am stationary working on reports or online bill pay. I have not had any issues at all. The battery life is good about 10 hours. It is well made I feel like this chromebook will last a long time.

I am on old guy. Been using desktop or laptop computers soince they came first came out. I've always been attached to a server at work, and pretty mcuh resistant to mograting to the cloud. I am now retired, and have had to make the full transtion to connecting to Google drive and one drive as I fully embrace Office 365 an my jumble of cloud based drives, folders and file systems. So, was this a good step to help "move me along"? Yes, but it's gonna take time. I did this at the behest of one of my kids who's a computer engineer, The biggest adjustment is getting used to a completely different keyboard and command struture. I desperatley miss my "right click", but I am learning the commands and, for me, relearning some from the good ol' days of DOS (yes, I'm that old.) but it's going to be a good and necessary shift. The speed with which this little monster launches and how quickly I connect to EVERYTHING, is light years from my 5 year old reliable Dell laptop that is coming to its predictable end. The battery life is amazing - but part of that, my son tells me, is due to the fact that i'm freed from massive amounts of software required by using a OS dependent on a networked server and programs running on my hard drive. Acer has been recommended to me before and so far, I'm duly impressed and pleased (though it's still early). It was about half the cost to replace my laptop, but I got a great deal from Best Buy on Black Friday. So far, it's been a good step, and I'm looking forward to this old dog learning some new tricks.

The speakers were of surprisingly quality and loud. The screen is very clear, no issue with lack of brightness. The touchpad is very responsive and feels nice. Nice and light. at the time of purchase was the cheeast Chromebook with 8 GB Ram. The one bad con which is the only reason it lost a star. The battery life is terrible. 10 Hours max. I am used to cheaper chromebooks where I was getting 14 hours. Perhaps the screen size plays a role. Thankfully I am usually around an outlet, so it doesn't matter for me. But its a big drawback for some people.

Easy to use. Nice size, big screen. Love that it works by using apps. Safer to use than a laptop. Excellent speed. The price point is excellent and does not break the bank yet the performance is as good as a much more expensive laptop. Has long battery life. Speakers could use some upgrades but are decent.

Overall a solid machine. It's a Chromebook plus and Acer made some trade-offs here and there. For the most part, they succeeded in making the right compromises. The upward firing speakers are nice but they preclude the inclusion of a number pad on the keyboard. A matter of preference for sure; I work a lot with spreadsheets so a number pad instead of upward firing speakers would have been my preference. Also of note, they dispensed with backlight for the keyboard. I'm finding a backlit keyboard is more valuable than a touch screen or 360 hinge for the kind of work that I do. And the build is all plastic; solid enough but I'd be careful not to drop or transport carelessly. On the plus side, the matte screen is gorgeous (I prefer matte over shiny; again, a matter of sheer preference) and the touchpad is a joy to use. Overall, I like this machine.

Well made, easy to use laptop. Perfect for someone's first laptop. There are hot keys for all the basic necessites, so no more looking for the volume/brightnes buttons or even how to get to settings or apps. There are buttons for all of that which literally makes the experience for a new comer so much better. The battery life is 10hours, charges with a C cable, so it's fast charging. Graphics are decent, camera is what you'd expect from this price range and overall the laptop runs very smoothly. Takes mere seconds to start up and shut down.

I got this computer for an employee of mine when it was on sale. We were on a limited budget for the computer and he is not a full time office employee so he did not need a desktop computer. He wanted something with a bigger screen and needed a little more power than what his previous laptop/tablet combo offered. After much research, this computer was highly rated and it didn't disappoint. At under $300, it does everything he needs and I've asked him numerous times to confirm it is still working good for him. After months of use he still says great things about the speed and practicality of this computer. We are on google's business platform for email, docs, sheets, drive, calendar, chat, etc. so the chromebook doesn't come with any drawbacks as far as software limitations. If you are on the google platform for business I would highly recommend this chromebook plus as a budget mobile option. I have considered getting a smaller chromebook myself as an alternative to my large macbook after seeing how great it runs. You are not going to get the speed of this computer for under $300 on a windows or mac computer, but with the lightweight software it works flawlessly and shows no signs of slowing down. Highly recommend.

I've had my Acer Chromebook Plus 515 for about a week now. I'm loving it! Boots up in 7 seconds, shuts down in 4, it's fast for everything, I'm sync'd with my Pixel phone for texting, I have two login accounts configured, I installed Linux for my favorite apps, both built-in and Android apps work well, I'm printing w/o issues, no worries about updates (June 2032) or security, long battery life, all my important data is accessible from either Google Drive or OneDrive, and more. Fantastic machine for less than $300 paid with next day hand delivery!

This is my first Chromebook and I love it! It’s perfect for my online teaching. It is very quick! I don’t use it for anything else but my online teaching or doing a few online searches. It’s perfect for my needs, had a great battery life, and a nice sized screen.

"The Acer Chromebook Plus 515 is a powerhouse! The performance is outstanding, handling everything from web browsing to photo editing without breaking a sweat. The build quality feels premium, and the convertible design is incredibly practical. The display is gorgeous, with vibrant colors and crisp details. Battery life is excellent, lasting me well over 10 hours on a single charge. The keyboard is comfortable, and the trackpad is precise. For the price, this Chromebook offers unbeatable value. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-performance, versatile laptop."

Sturdy design. Plenty of power since many Chromebooks are underpowered to save money and they usually don't need much horsepower since it is just a browser running on Linux. I like the built in HDMI port which makes it easy to play video on the TV

This is my first chromebook. I was kind of scared to buy this at first due to the fact that I can't have microsoft word on it but after months of using it, I am inlove. It's not heavy: It loads fast. Battery lasts long. And of course, it is affordable! This is a good laptop for daily use. I am not a gamer, so I don't know about that aspect. Simple computer but works pretty well for my needs.
