Regardless of performance or other features, I have to give this computer a 1-star review specifically for the absolutely horrible embedded numeric keypad on the touchpad itself (funny how all of the stock images on bestbuy.com do NOT show this feature - they show a normal touchpad). This feature is the most poorly designed feature I've seen on a laptop in my 30 years of owning, buying, selling and servicing laptops. Why? Because ASUS, in all their glory, totally failed to implement a BIOS setting or hardware feature that would allow the user to turn it off. Why would I want the calculator popping up on the screen everytime I accidentally swipe in from the right side of the touchpad? (quick fix for this: rename the calc.exe file calc2.exe - windows finds it, numpad driver doesn't). This accidental swipe also turns on the numeric keypad so now tapping on the touchpad gives you numbers instead of a left-click! The print on the touchpad is also distracting, and bound to wear off and start looking terrible after 3-4 years of heavy touchpad use. There is a way to disable it in software, but to get it to stay off permanently takes a lot of high-end work with the task scheduler because just disabling it in the device manager doesn't stick for some strange reason. I have a feeling the misleading images on the bestbuy.com website were provided by Asus because the photo on the outside of the box doesn't show it, either. Unfortunately, my dissatisfaction with this feature didn't peak to "return it" point until after my return period had expired...so I'm going to dump it on Ebay and get a laptop with a normal touchpad. Bad idea ASUS! Best Buy, fix your false/misleading images!

The best laptop easy to use and it’s too fast it’s cool

I was looking for a laptop that would be reliable at an affordable price and is why I purchased the ASUS Vivobook. I primarily use my laptop for completing my college courses and I couldn’t be more pleased. Definitely recommend!!

Purchased my Asus vivobook about a month ago and it still running very strong/fast. Reliable and affordable. Would purchase again and recommend.

This laptop is a great choice for people looking for a budget friendly laptop that can handle light stress, student applications, and other work related necessities. It’s everything you would need in a laptop for a low price. Only drawback is the short battery life which lasts around 2-4 hours from my personal use, everything else is fine though. The mousepad isn’t shown to have the number pad on its listing but it doesn’t get in the way how other reviews say it does. Great pickup!

It's lightweight and fast, Very smooth to the touch, I like it a lot.

Fan turns on when you open a single webpage. It is way too loud.

It's a great value. I bought one for my son a few months ago and am buying a new one for my mother today. Linux users, be warned the network adapter is not supported by the kernel.

it's a great laptop. it can run games, and it's great for writing. the only thing i don't like is the numbers on the mousepad, but i just keep it off.

The Viobook came with Windows S system but was easy to change over to Windows 11 Home. I need a computer to run one of the amateur radio setups. This laptop works perfectly for that. It loads fast and has enough storage. Works great with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

Absolutely love this ASUS Vivobook!! Best purchase i have made for myself when it comes to work execution. Nice little laptop. I thought I was ordering a touchscreen - my mistake. The description says "quiet Blue" but it is jet black.
