Since I have a mixed environment, I still have to rely on my old Asus router for Internet. Newer equipment can go on the eero, but not a replacement in a mixed equipment environment.

Posted .Hi WelC. Thank you for your providing feedback regarding your experience with the eero 6 router. I'm sorry to hear that your older devices aren't connecting. Devices that only operate on the 2.4 GHz band may need an extra step to get them up and running. You can use the eero app to temporarily hide the 5 GHz band while you get your 2.4 GHz devices connected. Open the eero app and tap “Settings” at the bottom of the home screen. Tap “troubleshooting” towards the bottom of the settings screen. Tap ”My device won’t connect.” Tap “Temporarily pause 5 GHz. This will pause the 5 GHz band for 15 minutes while you get your 2.4 GHz devices setup. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, please reach out directly to eero customer support at (877) 659-2347. Best Buy Geek Squad set up the original system for the house but this setup was easy using the CAT6 cable that was installed in the garage when constructed. Coverage is great for all wireless devices and the port on the back of the device provides a wired connection for my computer in the garage. This stuff works as described and I would recommend it.

Its great for a regular smaller apartment .

I've been able to seamlessly extend my home at work throughout my apartment easily. The features and tools are straightforward and useful. I guess the only negative thing I can say about this device is the fact that it does have an optional subscription for additional protection and parental controls, which I think is petty in 2023 to not add these important features at no cost. Good thing my main router allows for me to protect my network and my children at no cost.

I’m even more glad I chose the EERO brand. It has lived up to its advertisement, it has also been able to keep up with the demand of WiFi use I place on it. HIGHLY recommend.

This device has provided a stable connection to all 25+ of my smart devices and it has been very reliable so far. The connection speed on my devices has also been boosted. More than happy and will stick with this brand for the future.

I get download and upload speed bith at 94 mbps and have it connected to fios cable modem router. Best wireless router ever.
