Many also highlight the durable design, touchscreen responsiveness, and the usefulness of the built-in flashlight. While some find the size and weight substantial, and a few note inconsistencies with heart rate tracking, the overall feedback points to a highly capable smartwatch.

I love this watch is what I would say, but love is a strong word. So I like it. Love is for Family Friends ( pets are Family)! It's a great watch. No complaints. Tracks my runs very accurately. Heart rate has been off sometimes but not a deal breaker. I've been on a bike where it says my heart rate is less than 60, don't think so! Overall best purchase I have made in a while. They do have a newer version but this one probably does the same thing save $100. I do like the sleep track feature where it tells you what you should do for the day (rest). When it says that, probably should listen. I didn't and my legs are killing me! But really good product. Wish I bought sooner. Always wanted a Garmin Fenix line and I am very happy! Screen is a little dark, but I don't have bad eyesight so not bothersome. I guess the newer one fixes that but don't have my hands on that one! Battery lasts slot longer than my original instinct. I thought I have damaged the bezel a couple of times but the marks just wipe off!! I did change out the band. I gave gotten rashes from Garmin bands in the past but this one has unlimited options and eady to change!

Finally made the switch from Apple Watch to Garmin. It was LONG overdue. In terms of focus on the actual training readiness, this is the watch for you! Battery life is INCREDIBLY good! Can go as high as 45 days on one full charge on power saving mode. GPS is fantastic for land navigation. I’ve only had for 2 months but after heavy daily use I can tell you that if running, in-depth training tracking, and outdoor activities are a daily part of your life. You’ll love this watch!

Apple to Garmin

Excellent watch to switch to from Apple to Garmin. Has a lot of capabilities with a very good battery life. If you are an outdoor person this watch is for you. For me probably to much of a watch for me but still love it!
If you are coming from Apple to Garmin it’s most likely you do a lot of things outside and want to be able to track it. Apple is capable of doing it running marathons golfing or just being out 4+ hours it’ll most likely be able to survive but then you will need to charge it if not just have a dead watch on your wrist until you can. I switched for this reason, run a marathon every year and start to finish out there for a long time lol. Watch will die as soon as I cross. Play golf as well and will die after each round. So instead of buying a new Apple Watch every year I’m looking to save on the long run with Garmin. After 1 month use the battery life is well noticed, now 30+ battery life claim, not really I’m sure if you turn off all the functionality and just have it as a wrist watch with no monitoring, I’m pretty sure it will last 30+ days. Now with all the sensor and on and all GPS and doing 3 runs outside and playing golf once a week, the watch will last me 7 DAYS, oddly satisfying. So solar is a great to help the battery not drain so fast, I wouldn’t say it charges it but say delays draining. Imagine a 2.5 gallon jug with a spout, if you opening fully the water is going to drain fast, if you open it up half way and maybe not puncture a hole it, still going to drain but not as fast. That how I look at the solar functionality.
Touch screen thought I would have a tough time transitioning from Apple to Garmin touch screen, I thought I was dependent on the touch screen but find out that touch screen is nice I don’t use it a lot. Since now I have options to use buttons in some respects it faster and some are slower so having the ability for both or neither is a really good touch lol. During activities I turn off touch screen, since I found out showering with your Garmin water droplets will activate touch screen and lets just say I had to reset my watch since it was set onto something I couldn’t figure out how to unset (day 1) lol. So Activity no touch, general use touch. I don’t shower with my watch was just testing it!
Now I do have some gripes with the watch and its not a perfect world but its still a 5 star rating for me. Watch face settings are hit or miss, if you like overload of access and information you have it, but if there are a few things you really want it seems it doesn’t have that number for me, it’s either to many quick accesses or not enough. I know with the face with all the quick access you don’t have to use it, but that’s like going on an elevator for the first time and not touching all the buttons for all the floors.
Biggest gripe is Apple Music, not sure who to blame but I’m not switching to spotify. I have a family plan with spotify and it works great except for on this watch. But on my runs or my work out at the gym where I really do not want to bring my phone, I would like to be able to listen to music or podcast. This probably has effect me enough to where I still have my Apple watch and instead having the bands on them, I disband the Apple watch and put the face in my pocket to work out or go for a run, so I don’t have to bring my phone. So I basically have made my Apple watch into an Apple Nano 8th edition lol.
Overall this watch is great and my initial hesitation on missing the touch screen has been drowned out by the battery life and button functionality. With the Watch face on Garmin doesn’t really break the watch for it’s just more of an annoyance that has grown on me. Apple music obviously I would love to live in a perfect world where everyone works together peacefully, but that’s not the world we live in, sacrifice survive and adapt is the world we life in that all we must do!

Love it! Worth the upgrade from the Fenix 6 Sapphire. Battery life is 2-3x more. Flashlight is BRIGHT and comes in handy. The touchscreen is an added bonus! The only downside is the screen digital real estate on the watch face is smaller because the solar element is built into the circumference of the screen. But hey, you can’t have it all! Great watch overall! No regrets.

The best watch I've ever owned. The Garmin Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar is legitimate. Maps, Garmin pay, hrv rates, sleep tracking, customizable watch faces, solar charging, track me, navigate, etc... this watch is loaded. I did a bit a of research before I purchased it and let me say it's worth the price.

Owning this now for 4 months now, I thought I would give a quick review. It's almost prefect, only seen some improvements in my steps being a little generous. I could be doing dishes standing still and it pushes me to my steps goal. I run everything on the watch except GPS unless I need to during a activity, mostly walking and get 18 days. But I do sleep tracking with pulse ox and respiration.
And I think it's easier than my Garmin Instinct watch I had since it came out.

So glad I bought this watch. It’s everything I hoped for. I had been an Apple Watch wearer for years and thought I needed a change. I feel that the Garmin Fenix is far superior to Apple Watch. Especially the battery life, has an awesome flashlight and track your health and physical activity. Plus mapping and GPS It was a great purchase

Overall, satisfied. Never was I thinking to get back to MIP display, but suddenly I started liking it. It has something special to it when you are already tired of all amoled displays available in Apple Watches or Samsung Watches.
The build is solid ~ perfect for those who are outdoorsy or working as techs (myself) and not in office.
Battery less than 30 days certainly if you have regular phone notifications on and gps mode on. But charging it every 2 weeks is way better than every 1-2 days. The silicon band is alright/ could be little more comfortable.
Music is not working while tracking a trail. By some reason music stops. So, if you want to stream music from the watch while following trail trajectory it will not work together: you have to pick one. Maybe it’s a software imperfection which could be improved / which u hope will do.
The flashlight is super useful. Even its beaming on the side the applicability in the dark is vital!
If you are getting it on discount like I did (540) it’s a good purchase. Official garmin website price (799) is too much.

Great watch, incredible battery life. Wish the watch stayed working, at least with solar power like G-Shock watches. The functionality is all i dream i could use in real workd environment, very fun to play around with regardless. The flashlight comes in incredibly handy and a great convo starter. Sold on Garmin moving forward! Though, full transparency, it took some getting used to. Went to 4 stars because no more than 1.5 months of constant wear and the watch edges is showing the metal from under the black coating, which is pretty upsetting, this is just from wear, did not strike or scrap on anything.

Took it hiking into remote mountains, deep forests with triple canopies, valleys, and everywhere inbetween. The bright torch is amazing, battery life is nothing short of miraculous and will last for 21-30 days easily! GPS capabilities are amazing, blueooth and wifi are fast, hiking and endless list of apps are great. What else can you ask of a milspec piece of kit?

This watch is pretty sweet. I had the fenix 3 and 2 fenix 5x’s and this is a really nice upgrade. The touch screen is awesome. The solar charge is a nice feature and the battery seems like it lasts forever. I bought it about a month ago and have been on several hikes using the GPS track and I have not charged it at all and I still have 20% battery.

It’s a pretty good watch specially if you are into fitness. If you are looking for smart watch features then stay away from Garmin. The GPS feature is one of the best you might not get lost during hike even if there is no network with this watch
