Frustrated with using so much color ink with inkjet printers, especially since 95+% of printing is in B&W. Decided to go Laser and B&W to end the frustration. This black and white (monochrome) printer is perfect for my needs. Comes out of the box with ~3000 sheet toner, so I doubt that I will ever have to replace it. Prints fast, copies fast, FAX works first time every time. Duplex (two-sided) copying and duplex printing. Had no trouble setting it up with my MacBook Pro. Easy print from iPhone and iPad and even via email attachment.

These are quiet. Fast. Mostly easy to setup. Beware the 26x toner is $$$ but you can expect print counts around 9,000 on each one

Bought printer to be used in a school environment. Very very fast, even with double-sided printing. Wanted to get black and white to save on the toner costs (no color toners to have to constantly replace). Plan to get high capacity toner when original runs out but still going strong after almost 1 year. Only issues is sometimes it loses WiFi but I just reconfigure it and it joins again. WiFi is always spotty on products that go on standby a lot so not a big issue to me. It's pretty compact. Really no complaints.

The HP Laser Jet Pro m426fdw Wireless All-In-One Printer was so easy to set up. It works great from my iPad or iPhone. When it is not busy, it sleeps, and is so quiet. The laser is the only way to go for black and white printing, it’s so fast and the ink does not smear. I was worried about setting it up since I had no computer, but the little screen on the printer allowed me to set up everything, so easy and fast. I highly recommend this printer...fax, copier, printer, and scanner!

I need performance. I rarely need color. Fast double sided auto feed scanner. 40 Page/min printing. smaller footprint than the color inkjet. It has more functionality than I need, but I can wirelessly network it in at the same time hardwire it into my primary computer. I have no tried printing something from my iPhone yet. The manual state that you can do that if you set it up. Things you need to know. (1) You probably have to download the driver from the HP website. (2) I had a problem printing a PDF file. When I printed it, it would print fine until page 5 and it would print strage characters at the top of the page and print blank or other straneg chartacters. Burned a lot of paper. I believe it was caused by the PDF file had things to print outside the allowable margin of the printer (believe 0.3"). When I selected the fit option from the print menu in the PFD software, it seemed to stop the problem. The cartridge is supposed to print over 3000 pages compared to 200 for the inkjet. A little sticker shock on the cartridge price, but it lasts 15x longer. So price per page is low. I hope I do not have any problems with it because I can already see a great improvement in my productivity.

Purchased this product after finding out that another "big" company used the same one. I scan and print many pages and only legal documents so there was no need for a color printer.

Love the new size, very quiet operating and fast startup. Installed easily on all five Macs and PC's. However, had a software glitch with the scanner function, the scan commands from the Macs and Macbook Air were not working after installing. HP's tech support came to rescue and enabled the "store to network file" and created a file for me and all works fine, just not from the computer to printer, only from printer to computer, but is over the network. All wireless and ethernet work perfect. Really enjoy the 2 sided printing and simultaneous 2 sided scanning.

I've been buying HP computers and printers for years and very rarely have any problems. My old home office HP printer finally had to be replaced after almost 10 years and not because it stopped printing but because the scanner feed had an issue. I've only had this new HP LaserJet Pro MFP426fdw for a couple of weeks, but it seems to be a well built quiet printer. So far so good!

May be bigger than some households need, but I print more. But the print quality is excellent, and I love the big toner cartridge so I don't have to replace a color every 2 weeks. I got the B&W and it's a great product for my needs. Scanner works pretty decent. Was easy to set up and sync with my HP Laptop via Wifi.

Out of the box ready to go with minimal and easy setup. Prints and copies lightning quick compared to other HP All-in-One's I have owned. Really only use print, copy, fax functions to this point, so not yet tried all other things can purportedly handle. So far no complaints, but only less than one month operation, hoping this continues to impress in the long run.

Was a breeze to set up and connect to wireless network. Print quality is excellent. Love that it scans both sides of documents so there is no fiddling with getting backsides in the correct order and orientation when scanning multiple page documents. Can print from iPad and iPhone. Reasonably quiet and fast enough for our purposes.

Priced on Sale, bought two of them. Shopped around couldn't find a better deal then BestBuy at the moment on sale. Pros: Late model HP LaserJet Monochrome, all in one. Best user friendly, no messing around get it done right the first time printer. Bought this model because don't have time to do reprints and messed up print jobs or rescans. Bonjour and IP network configured perfectly. Makes copies with easy one touch. Con: Late model HP printer so no auto install download Microsoft drivers updates, need to go to HP.com and install drivers and full function software. Same with Apple Macs but bonjour will take care of the install for you on iOS and MAC OS. If you know what you're doing, just an extra one time step, Toner cost a little expensive, shop around.

After a few printers this is the one that is consistent with quality and does the job one or two sides, my favorite is a black and white, scanning very good, not test OCR so far. the only down side is ink is expensive more than other brands. You pay for quality and performance.
