Adored this game on the Prime Trilogy back in the day. Peak game design on display here. Have been waiting years since DKC:TF for Retro Studios to put something out. This is a perfect holdover for Prime 4. Retro proved that they still got it. Matches the original with visuals better than anything else on the platform. Nice in-game artwork, music, and 3D model bonuses. A variety of control options ranging from the original on GC, Wii-style motion controls, and modern two stick shotter controls. And to top it off, a $40 price tag. A must have for any Switch owner.

Metroid Prime Remastered is a phenomenal game with great gameplay, smooth controls, and stunning visuals. If you played the original Metroid Prime back in the Nintendo GameCube, this game will bring you right back to the nostalgia! Highly recommend to the casual gamer!

As soon as I saw it I couldn't believe my very own eyes. Metroid prime remastered is an absolute masterpiece from the ground up and Retro Studios/Iron Galaxy did a magnificent job upscaling the graphics beyond my wildest expectations; though I do hope they add the fusion suits in future updates. Like the original GameCube version Prime remastered runs extraordinarily well on my switch console with zero issue. To those who have yet to experience this Metroid game, I only say this; it's most definitely a must play game & highly recommend it. As a fan of the original game, prime remastered is a well refined game & well worth every dollar spent.

First time I played this update Metroid for Wii in 2009 and now in 2023 Remastered for the OLED Switch. The storytelling, design work, and gameplay are as good as anything else produced in the last five years. This reworking is a throwback platformer to the original and the perfect way for contemporary and returning players to enjoy Metroid Prime. Controls and camera are much improved but graphics aren’t as good for an OLED Or 4K TV. A lot of secrets to find for hours of gameplay and Easter eggs.

It's Metroid Prime but nicer looking. If you're looking to relive a classic this could be for you. No modern quality of life features so hunt down those save points and get ready for tedious backtracking.

Just like the original but remastered to the modern times. It feels more like a remake than a remastered version but plays just as well. The environments and the gameplay are back and I’m just enjoying myself with the game and can’t wait for others to enjoy this timeless classic 20 years since it’s release

[Employee of bestbuy] I played this game when it first released on Gamecube in 2002. The remaster is incredible, maintaining the locked 60 fps of the original while updating the graphics to HD and utilizing PBR (physically based rendering) to make environments look realistic, a technique most thought the switch didn’t have the processing power to handle and is frequently used in the newest Call of Duty titles on other platforms. The world design and gameplay is sublime, and the updated control options make this game playable by anyone who is even slightly interested. If you like the Metroidvania gameplay style I recommend this as one of the best. Honestly, I recommend everyone give this one a chance. It’s one of the greatest games ever made.

This game was on the GCto era was one of the best games ever, and now this remaster has enhance the game 100%, awesome game highly recommend it, also another thing that I want to mention was the price pretty cheap and excellent quality

If you have never played metroid prime, do uourself a facoeite and pick this game up. This game is phenomenal in every way, rewarding exploration through the sprawlin layout of the dead planet you are on. It is amazing through and through. Pick this up, $40 is a steal for what they did with this remaster.

If not better because the controls. Too many games now days hold your hand and guide you the whole way. It was nice to go back to the days where you're trusted with finding your own way.

Metroid Prime, to this day, is one of the best games ever made. Its design holds up remarkably well over 20 years later, and I'd argue it's one of the most gracefully-aged games. This remastered version is absolutely the definitive way to experience this game. Completely overhauled visuals that are absolutely beautiful, tons of control options, colorblind accessibility features, a less intrusive hint system, and a plethora of extra bonus content. If you somehow have avoided playing this gem throughout its run on the Gamecube, Wii, and Wii U, I highly recommend picking this version up above any others.

Metroid Prime Remastered is a masterpiece. It has updated visuals, controls and features. This game has everything a Metroid fan could ask for.

10 out of 10 a must have for any metriod fan. Samus is back in a beautiful remastered version of metriod prime. Great for family and friends.

I really enjoyed playing through this Metroid game since it’s been the first i played within years. The game runs so smoothly and didn’t recall any issues. It’s a tough game remembering and solving some of the puzzles but very interesting/engaging for the most part. If you really want to jump into the Metroid series, this is the game for it. I highly recommend it.

This is great eagerly waiting on the other ones to be ported to the Nintendo Switch 2, makes it easier on collectors like me and if you collect physical copies, I honestly think the digital only downloads shouldn’t be the SAME PRICE as the physical copy games, investing to get no return on those investments, if you pay over 5000$ on digital downloads and take your system and downloads to trade it in for games or cash you’ll only return you see is on the system itself, so gen z be ware of your purchases.

This has been in the rumor list for YEARS, but to see finally come to reality has left me in utter shock and still to this day, 3 months in i stii am. I love Metroid Prime and you should play it, you are doing yourself an absolute huge disservice by not playing it. Theres a reason why it’s considered one of the best games of all time.

Simply put: Calling this "Remastered" doesn't do this enough justice. Truly, it appears as a full-on remake -- almost seems so. For those that loved its original release, you'll love this more. For those that didn't play it back then, if you're into shooters but with a Metroid twist, you'll most likely love this, as well.

[Employee of bestbuy] I didn't buy this for myself but for my boyfriend. He loves it. So happy I pre-ordered this one since they seem to be sold out at the moment. He plays it everyday. Every so often he gets excited about something in the game and has to show it to me. He does prefer to play with pro controller cause the joysticks give better control. Graphics are nice. The music is fantastic and probably my favorite part of the game. Bosses are great too.
