It feels like it's second-hand, the packaging is broken, that's not the point... But why is the battery backplane missing? Very, very disappointed!

Makes PC gaming feels like a Console!

Now is so hard to buy a console (the PS5 or the latest XBox) that it kind of motivated me to get into PC gaming, I was lucky to find a great deals in steam and loaded my favorite games. I have to say that given my age, it'll be really hard to get used to replace the controller and use the Mouse and Keyboard, so having this XBox remote has been a blessing to me, all the games react as if I am playing them in an xbox!
The integration with Windows 10 is awesome, the only advise I would give is to install the xbox accessories app on Windows and then let it update the controller firmware.
Finally, the only complaint I have (and I do hope that it gets resolved in a future update) is the fact that is hard to measure the battery levels on this controller, or to get a notification if your battery is almost gone. So to me, at first I thought I got a bad unit because it all started randomly disconnecting and it was hard for me to believe that it was the battery, as I only had a few hours of gaming (my guess is that this unit had really old/bad batteries) - Anyways.... it's the closest you'll get to the real deal, if you are like me, a Console gamer that jumped into the PC world and don't bother with Keyboard and mouse.

Excellent controller. Good texture grip on the sides and the wi-fi adapter works flawlessly. I realize I paid a little more for it but it doesn't matter. I have been playing many different games through steam and the controller works with well with all of them. I recommend this to anyone who plays games that require a controller on their PC. Plug and play automatically detects wi-fi adapter.

Solid controller and connection with the usb dongle! It was a great price too. Works really well with both of my gaming PCs and my Xbox Series X. I wish it came in different colors like the other controllers do.

I use this on my pc, works great with all games that allow me to use controller. I mostly play Overewatch and Phasmophobia with this controller! Never had any issues except when it dies but you can also keep it wired in as well to avoid that! (: I recommend getting the battery pack to go with this.

This is possibly the best iteration of the Xbox controller which I've tried at this point, though I've never touched the "elite"/"pro" versions.
I'm not particularly happy with the wireless connectivity process. Once linked, it worked just fine for quite a while, but would sometimes lose connection for a few minutes in the middle of gameplay. This was incredibly frustrating when playing a game like Elden Ring, for obvious reasons. Searches for a fix turned up a number of possible solutions, but none of worked for me. Ultimately, I play with the charging cable attached 99% of the time, as I'm concerned about losing game progress due to poor wireless connectivity. I still like and recommend the controller, but had I known this would be an issue, I wouldn't have bothered purchasing the rechargeable battery pack.

I bought this controller for use with my PC; replacing the mouse and keyboard. This device comes with no directions; just a piece of paper with 5 pictures showing each of the steps. When I first installed this controller it worked very well, but it rumbled, which I wanted to disable. As I said, there were no directions supplied, so, I went online downloaded the Xbox accessory app and that seemed to do the trick. After thirty minutes of gameplay, it stopped. The dongle would no longer pair with the controller. I exchanged it and the new controller also would not pair with its dongle. IDK why, but it did pair with the Bluetooth native to my computer’s motherboard, but now I had the problem of turning off the rumble. The profile for the controller, that I created needed a cable attachment to edit that feature. While attached to the cable the controller worked perfectly, but as soon as I disconnected it; the rumble came back. Fortunately, I went to the apps page and read a harsh review that suggested using the steam controller setup found in the Steam setting menu. Steam recognized the controller and allowed me to turn off the rumble feature. Will this setup work with non-Steam games IDK. Does the dongle that came with my controller work, IDK as I have since returned it its box, and I don’t use it. Was the first controller I bought a good one, again IDK and Geek squad shrugged their shoulders and said the controller was probably bad and exchanged. There was no trouble shooting advice that came with the device and I was left pretty much on my own stumbling around trying to figure it out.
This is my second purchase recently that I probably exchanged a perfectly good device for another; solely because I could not get to the right person. The controller itself is solid. I bought the rechargeable battery packs and I get several hours of play per charge. The device would get 5 stars, but the lack of good documentation, and the absence of knowledgeable tech support. That is what gives this purchase 4 stars; the support not the device.

Purchased mostly for the wireless adapter. The new model controller is slightly smaller but easy to adapt to. Works great with windows. Make sure to update your drivers. No screen chatter like you get when trying to connect via Bluetooth

I'm pretty sure the controller is what you get if you pick up a new Xbox (idk for sure, I never bought one), and the wireless adapter is plug and play. We picked this up for my daughter's PC, as connecting via Bluetooth can be a mixed bag on whether or not it wants to stay connected. The adapter stays connected, has lower latency, and is easy paired with the controller the first time you plug it in.
