Would not pair via WiFi with Google Home

Returned. Would not pair with Google Home. These bulbs can be linked by a Matter/Thread connection, but not having that hardware, I opted for the WiFi connection. I easily added the bulb to the Nanoleaf app, and Google Home offers Nanoleaf as a linkable app with the WiFI option. Once selected, GH would hang, never connecting to my Nanoleaf account. Went through several help docs, nothing worked. Returned and replaced with a simpler Govee product. No issues. Based on positive reviews elswhere, it was my sense these bulbs may work fine if they can be connected via a Matter hub, but connecting with basic WiFi was a fail.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to hear you had trouble connecting your bulbs via Wi-Fi and that the integration with Google Home didn’t go as expected. While Nanoleaf products are Matter-compatible for a streamlined smart home experience, we understand not everyone has that setup yet, and we’re actively working to improve our Wi-Fi and app-based integrations. We appreciate your feedback—it helps us improve. If you ever decide to give Nanoleaf another try, our support team would be happy to assist you further at support.nanoleaf.me.

Like other Nanoleaf products, super cool when it works but undelivered performance when it comes to app and smart home control.

We get where you are coming from. The Matter A19 bulbs are designed to deliver strong lighting performance and broad smart home compatibility, but the experience can feel inconsistent when connectivity or app related issues come into play. When everything is running as intended they integrate well with Matter platforms and supported smart home ecosystems, but network setup, firmware state, or controller availability can impact reliability. If you are seeing ongoing control or responsiveness issues, it is worth ensuring the bulbs are fully updated and that your Matter hub and network are stable. If problems persist, our support team can review your setup in detail and help optimize performance or determine next steps here: https://support.nanoleaf.me/hc/en-us/requests/new
