Best purchase I've made so far. When paired with my 120hz 4k monitor gaming experience is excellent. I'm able to play on fidelity mode on most games while getting an FPS of 50-60 consistently. Oh and let me tell you the ray tracing is unbelievable good on games such as TLOU2, RE4 Remake, GOW Ragnarok, and Mafia Old country.

If you already own a PS5, I wouldn't bother paying FULL price for this device. If you don't own a PS5 right now, just buy this. You'll get a superior machine with a larger storage capacity right out of the box! I would also highly recommend getting the disk drive (unless you know without a shadow of a doubt that you're an all-digital gamer). I would recommend this console ONLY if you don't already own a PS5 (non-pro version) and are OK with the prospect of maybe forking over extra $$$ for a disk drive down the line. Performance is as expected, and you can find a million reviews breaking that stuff down on YT, so I won't bother going into it here. It's fast, it's snappy, and works well every time. Also, the fact that the "PRO" version of the console DOES NOT include a vertical stand and still includes the **standard** controller is not OK (at least throw in the PlayStation EDGE Pro Controller for the price that is being charged)! Recommendations: Sony NEEDS to upgrade the joysticks in their controllers to hall-effect joysticks so that controller-drift becomes a thing of the past. As a consumer, I'd wait for a sale/bundle deal (see if you can get the console and a disk-drive for a reduced price, or the PlayStation EDGE controller).

I upgraded to the Pro after having the original PS5 for a few years and I’m really glad I did. I love the design. It's cleaner and fits my setup better than the OG. The performance upgrade is noticeable. Games run smoother, load faster, and everything just feels better. Definitely happy with the upgrade. PSSR2 is going to make it that much better!!

Really happy with the PS5 Pro so far. Games run super smooth and the graphics look noticeably better, especially on a good 4K TV. Everything feels fast and responsive, and the load times are great too. It is pretty expensive, so I wouldn’t say everyone needs to upgrade from a regular PS5. But if you want the best performance and graphics you can get from a PlayStation, it’s definitely worth it. Been enjoying it a lot so far!

This console exceeded my expectations. The performance is outstanding, with incredibly fast load times and smooth gameplay even on demanding games. The graphics look amazing and the system runs quietly. The controller adds a whole new level of immersion, and the overall build quality feels premium. Setup was quick and easy. I would absolutely recommend this console to anyone looking for a true next-generation gaming experience. Worth every

Pc gamer here, avoided consoles the last 6 years and just upgraded my pc over the years. Picked up a ps5 pro because it seemed like the best option for GTA6. I got it with the intention to sell it when GTA6 became available for the PC but honestly using it the past few weeks has been really nice and I’m considering keeping it. Over the years I’ve missed out on exclusive game releases for the PlayStation. I signed up for PS plus and downloaded like 10 games I was never able to play and it’s been impressive and a really pleasant experience. One selling point was the haptic feedback on the controller and I love it, so much more immersion. Nearly impossible to get one right now but honestly getting this console has made me interested to see what the ps6 ends up providing. I love PC but there is something soothing about the simplicity of console gaming.

It's super duper. Being able to upgrade previous ps4 games is great. Graphics are super duper. Had to buy the disc drive separately. There's still plenty of disc games to buy used in the future even though discs may go away. Plays Blu rays. Games update a lot so keep it in rest mode with auto updates ON so every time you go to play you don't have to wait for the games to update.

The PlayStation 5 delivers fast performance, stunning graphics, and almost no loading times thanks to its custom SSD. Games look and feel more immersive, especially with the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. The system is large but stylish, and its interface is clean and easy to use. While storage space fills up quickly and some exclusives are still limited, the PS5 offers one of the best gaming experiences available today.

PS5 Pro: Finally, the Best of Both Worlds The PS5 Pro is the console that ends the fidelity-versus-performance compromise. With a substantially upgraded GPU, faster memory, and Sony’s PSSR AI upscaling, it delivers sharper 4K visuals, stronger ray tracing, and rock-solid 60 fps (often better) in enhanced games—letting you play what used to be “quality mode” at performance-mode smoothness. The 2TB SSD and quieter, refined design are welcome bonuses, and on a good 4K TV the difference is clear and satisfying. It’s not a must-buy for everyone (the base PS5 remains excellent, and the Pro’s high price plus missing disc drive sting), but if you want the absolute best PlayStation experience without jumping to a PC, this is it.

Enhanced graphics, frame rate, storage, and connectivity. What more could you ask for? Sony knocked it out of the park with this one. Paired with an Edge controller, this console is the best gaming experience Sony has ever produced.

Absolutely blown away by the PS5 Pro! The upgraded performance with 8K resolution support and faster frame rates makes gameplay smoother and more immersive than ever. The new design is sleek and modern, and the expanded storage is a huge win for gamers who love digital download. If you’re looking for a next-level gaming experience, the PS5 Pro is worth every penny!

I bought this PS5 Pro as an open-box item and have been using it for about a month. I really like it. The outer box was a little damaged when it arrived, but the console itself had no problems at all and actually exceeded my expectations. I’m not extremely picky about small cosmetic details, so as long as the console works perfectly, I’m happy. So far, everything has been working great. This is my second time buying an open-box product from Best Buy, and both experiences have been very good. I would definitely consider buying open-box again.

In my 50s so old school gamer here. From Pong & Atari in the 70s & 80s to All Nintendos & Xbox... Sega Dreamcast, etc.. played or collected them all!! This is by far the best, both "under the hood" and developers. As also a 25-year game PC builder, This is the first time I've seen a console come close to the visual level I don't some of my higher end gaming machines. ie 7900XTX, 4090, 5090, etc...without the extreme video card costs ... as long as you're not a pro competitor. This 2TB pro version even matches the 6TB(with expansions) capacity of my Xbox Series X Galaxy Black edition. Another HUGE positive is that it uses M.2 SSD for expansion versus expensive proprietary cards like my Series X. The ONLY down side at all is, as a collector of special editions there is NONE for this, like the Ghost of Tsushima Edition for the regular PS5... I would take away half star for that...but after-market panels are available which I put on...

You’re going to hear a lot of flack for this console. The Apple Vision Pro and this were announced in the same week I opted for the Vision Pro but then I thought about GTA 6…… Seeing that my piggy bank was a little on the empty side I got the console. It’s fine and will make you appreciate games more than you already do (just have a vrr capable 4k tv, getting this made me upgrade my hdtv to 4k; most games can’t run at 120fps and if they do terrific)

The PS5 Pro delivers incredible performance- games look remarkably sharp and run buttery smooth. I also picked up the official Disc Drive so I can keep playing my physical game collection, and the DualSense Charging Station to keep my controllers always ready to go. The disc drive was super easy to snap on and set up, and the entire setup looks and performs amazingly well. Highly recommend!

So I decided to back up my original PS5 then trade it in to Best Buy for a PS5 Pro. Great trade-in experience! The PS5 Pro does not disappoint. Comes with 2TB of Console storage, thats more than 3x the storage in the PS5. I have an LG C2 which supports 4K 120fps. Played some games and I do see a marginal improvement. Horizon, Call of Duty to name a few. There are select games that are PS5 Pro enhanced, that can balance fidelity and performance up to 120fps. The only con is that there are limited amount of games available that are PS5 Pro enhanced, but there will be more in the near future. $700 is pretty steep, so the choice is up to you. If you are satisfied with your PS5 original or slim and love how the games look, then youll be fine. If you want more out of your games and you are big on tech like me, check out the PS5 Pro!!

Ordered game console for pickup. In and out for two minutes. Mint condition. Everything worked as expected and happy. This console is so quiet and powerful. Added disk drive and ssd worked as expected. All the data on the ssd transferred over correctly from one console to this one. Smooth gameplay 120fps in some games. Can’t complain. It’s great.

Honestly after playing my bfs PS5 I decided to finally upgrade myself to the PS5 Pro after holding on to my PS3/PS4 and it does not disappoint. The graphics and load times are definitely better to me, but the regular PS5 is still fine as well. My tv only supports the 1440p/60 fsp/hrz so I can only imagine what the 120 fsp looks like. I think the price is reasonable for the Pro (lowkey not after taxes though because it adds like $50 unless you live in a tax free state). I remember paying like $500 back in the day for the first PS3 so for $200 more dollars to get what the Pro gives, I don’t feel too bad. I do however understand why not having a disc drive or stand included is irritating for the customer, but again for me it is still worth it. Overall, If you have the extra money, I say get the Pro. If you really don’t care that much or have a regular tv that can’t support the high features of the Pro, then stick with the regular. I play games like COD, The Last of Us and Tekken for reference.
