Received/Purchased this as a Christmas Gift. I've gotten several play-hours out of the game so far and I've only gotten through 4 of the 8 Gyms. Purchased the Digital Download Code version and the Code was printed to my Receipt as well as directly e-mailed to me in-case I'd lost the Receipt. The email was already waiting for me at home! Loved the game and the speed of which the code was sent, we went back to the store the next day to get 2 more game game-codes for the Nintendo Switch!

...you’re going to love Let’s Go. When they first announced Pokemon: Let’s Go, I was initially turned off as it was presented with the idea that leveling up would be fashioned after Pokémon GO; you capture Pokémon without actually fighting them. That said, I gave it a chance, and I’m very VERY glad I did. First, yes, capturing Pokémon a la Pokémon GO is a pretty good way to level your Pokémon as your team levels up together with every one that you catch. However, you find yourself battling other trainers in the in-game world more often than catching Pokémon; there’s just so many of them to fight. The feel of the game’s story seems a reboot of an earlier game, taking advantage of the modern gaming technology; a good move. I’m a little disappointed with the Team Rocket story arc, though. I felt like it could have been more involved. Overall, what sold this game to me was its personality, i.e. Eevee. your starter Pokémon who travels with you is a blessing and a curse as it is a perfect Pokémon; its stats are best in everything. This is great for helping you through the occasional tough battle, but I learned that Eevee is pretty much stronger than anything in the game as I was able to more or less solo every Gym leader, the Elite Four, and most of the legendary Pokémon with just Eevee herself. She also got access to moves that seemed far overpowered and felt as if they made Eevee just shy of invincible. That said, the game is not without its challenges. I suspect my experience was an exception and very much not the rule. My wife is playing and she tends to use a variety of Pokémon in her fights. Overall, Pokémon: Let’s GO is arguably one of the better, if not best, iterations of the franchise and definitely a solid RPG. I’d argue the game’s difficulty could be upped a notch or two and still be equally as fun and challenging.

I got this for my wife as a gift last year, and we absolutely loved playing it together co-op. The Eevee is super cute, and it was a really fun remake of classic red/blue/yellow version that we had back when I was a kid. And it included the newer versions of some of the pokemon too, such as the ice vulpix and sandshrew. Can't wait for my son to get old enough to play pokémon. So curious to see which starters he's gonna pick!

Really fun game. I am playing it co-op with my 4 year old daughter. They have a cool mechanic in this game where a second play can drop in and ultimately has little direct control but helps catch pokemon and gets to use a second pokemon (kind of a unfair advantage for the players lol). Really cool

I’ve played this game once already, and got it to play again. It’s still really fun! I recommend especially for people who prefer more original/earlier Pokémon generations. Eevee is really cute and I love how you can match outfits with her, style her hair, etc. The story is cool as well and there are some really fun and interesting areas to explore.

The game is fun for all ages. It’s a pretty good story line. RPG style. Tons of Pokemon.

Game Freak put a lot of love into the Let’s Go installments. It’s evident as you progress throughout the game and see references to the originals. I don’t understand the flack for this not being a true “new generation”. The game is a bit easy to progress through and at times feels like we are having our hands held. Aside from difficulty, I am having a blast playing this on my new Switch. 5/5

A fantastic teenage if the classic game which feels familiar while also taking a step in a different yet likable direction! Only thing I can nitpick about it is it's gimmicky catch system and it was even said by the developers that it has been made much easier so newcomers to the franchise can play it but otherwise they did a fantastic job!

I've always been a fan of Pokemon, but lost a little interest when some of the Pokemon started to look a little less like Pokemon at about generation 5 and up minus a few from Pokemon X and Y. This game takes you back to the beginning when we all played Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow. This game has great 3D animation that shows the familiar Kanto Region in a new light which I think is pretty cool. I was skeptical about this game because of the leveling up system where only Trainer battles and catching Pokemon levels up your party, but it works and you get used to it. Catching Pokemon in the game is really fun. Battling is fun too, but the battles don't feel crazy accomplishing because you can really overpower your Eevee in this game. You can't evolve your Eevee into any of it's evolution forms, but if you want to have one of the Eevee-lutions, you can find some in the wild, and it will take some time. This game overall is purely fun and not much of a challenge like the first few Pokemon games, so if you're looking for a challenging Pokemon game I would recommend re-playing Gen 1 to Gen 4 over again if you need a fix. Would highly recommend getting this game if you have a Switch, or if you know someone that has one close to you this would be a great gift. I give it 5 stars because although it was easy, it was still a fun game and didn't disappoint.

This game, as well as Let's Go Pikachu, is a great combination of aspects from the mobile game Pokemon GO and traditional gameplay of classic Pokemon games. Revitalizing the Kanto region in this way is both refreshing and enthralling; however, the controls when capturing wild Pokemon being fixed to motion controls may be frustrating to some players on occasion. This minor flaw does not detract much from the overall structure of the game in the long. Overall this game is highly enjoyable and a great way of introducing newcomers from the Pokemon GO market into the traditional style of Pokemon.

I'm still super early in the game (only to Mt. Moon!) but so far it feels like a great intro to Pokemon. You're set back in the same region as the very first games, so there's a lot of nostalgia for older players, and catching mechanics are identical to Pokemon GO. Trainer battles play out the same as older games. Unfortunately, based ONLY on the bit that I've played so far, the nostalgia from the older games can also feel a bit stale--even more so than each generation's repeat of the standard Pokemon formula, since both the formula AND the setting is repeating.

This game is so much fun and reminds me of the classic Pokemon Yellow, Red, and Blue I played as a kid. The story is the same but with a few fun new additions for the switch. I love being able to play with Eevee and having my other pokemon walk around outside their pokeballs. Highly recommend for anyone who loved the classic games a kid.

Daughter loves this game. One of her favorite Christmas gifts.

Let's go Pikachu is a great remake of Red/Blue/Green/Yellow from the 90s, but marred by gimmicks. In TV mode, you're force to use motion controls which in some cases become down right unresponsive. However in handheld/portable mode it's great Pokemon fun and a good entry point for anyone who's ever wanted to play the franchise. All is made up for with the fact you can pet your preferred mascot basking in their loving affection. Be warned though, you don't fight wild Pokemon, but try to capture them Pokemon-Go style instead.

If you played the original Pokémon video game this is chock full of nostalgia. If you’ve never played a Pokémon video game but you love PokémonGO this is a great intro into the mainstream games and an awesome substitute for days when going outside is just impossible

The graphics and artwork are very clear, crisp, and detailed. Game play is smooth, intuitive, and matches the Pokémon Go phone app very well. Game does not require much (if any) quick coordinated movements - simple to use. If the user likes Pokémon, they will enjoy this game.

Had great fun playing this game. This was my first experience playing Pokemon on the Switch and it was much more enjoyable than my Nintendo 3DS experience. I enjoyed being able to see the Pokemon in the wild rather than just tripping over them suddenly. It made picking and choosing which ones to go after much more enjoyable. I also loved that the Pokemon were "actual size", as in Onyx was HUGE compared to a smaller Pokemon. Sound quality was well made and even sounded good through small in-ear headphones. Just playing for a few hours here and there in the evenings, I was able to complete the game in about a month. Not including the "after game" extras. Overall a very laidback game to play.

This is a very simple introduction to the core Pokemon series. For beginners/new comers, the series' simplified mechanics for battling keeps the gameplay fast and straightforward. However, for long time fans this may be boring at time. Example: ground moves like dig can effect Pidgeots or Gengars again. This is due to lack of abilities like Levitate, protecting them from such physical moves. Traversing the world is a fun experience all around. It's even more enjoyable when you have Pokemon to ride. Leveling up is also a hit or miss experience. For the core story, there are plenty of trainers for you to get your team to level 60 to easily conquer the pokemon league. Once that is done: Catch. Catch. Catch. Trick here is stacking as many multipliers as possible when catching. This awards you with a lot of exp. The part of the game that suffers the most from this grind are the master trainers. You need Pokemon # level 70 and up from what I have encountered and there's a master trainer for most of the 150. I didn't find much of an incentive to take on that challenge Overall most of the game is fun and exceeded my expectations. I originally thought balancing would be a huge issue for the game but it's well rounded

This game definitely blew me out of the water. I thought it was going to be way too easy, but honestly it was just about the same difficulty as some other Pokemon games, and the new mechanics were a great way to breathe fresh life into a classic iteration of Pokemon.

Great game. My girlfriend instantly fell in love with eevee. The fact that you can have any pokemon walk with you is great. Had to get used to not battling wild pokemon, which i soon got over. The game is a bit on the easy side but nevertheless still worth the buy
