This controller does not have rumble, the amiibo scanning, and uses two AA batteries instead of being directly rechargeable. If you use rechargeable batteries this is actually better honestly because you can just swap batteries when it gets low. As long as you have another controller for scanning amiibos, this controller will be fine for P2, P3, P4 in multiplayer games. It is comfortable, pairs easily, and very responsive. I also paired it to my PC to play games on Steam and that works great - just choose the "nintendo switch pro controller" option in Steam and it will map all of the buttons automatically. The full retail price is a bit too close to the price of a pro controller but when any of these PowerA Enhanced Wireless controllers are on sale I would highly recommend picking one or more up.

I purchased this controller for my switch lite to prevent wear and tear. I love using this controller to play games or just control my switch lite.

Great wireless controller for a cheap price without the cheap feel. Works great as a backup and additional one for when you have friends over.

If you don’t want to spend $60-$70 for a new pro controller, then the PowerA pro controllers are a cheaper and decent option for you. The only problems with the controller are no HD Rumble and no amiibo functions but if you don’t really care about those features, then I’d recommend getting the PowerA pro controller.

This controller is considerably cheaper when compared to the official Nintendo pro controller. It’s still a good option for wireless. No rumble.

I should have read the fine print, but in case you didn't like me, it uses two AA batteries. Also, for reasons I don't understand, it has extra buttons on the bottom. Not sure what they do, but I'm worried I'll hit them during game play and mess things up. It's more $, but if you can spring for it, just get the Nintendo Switch wireless (rechargeable) controller and save yourself some headaches. We'll keep one of these, but I took the unopened one back.

After buying different controllers we decided to try this on. My daughter and wife loved it. I just bought a set of 4 rechargeable batteries for $10 and didn’t have to spend a lot of money on a reliable controller. I got this on sales so spent about $40 total with batteries included.

This controller is surprisingly light and has built in gyroscope and some additional buttons in the back that you can configure making it more useful for competitive play than the pro controller. It's easy to setup and compatible with all titles I've tried so far. Only thing is that feels cheaper than the pro controller.

i was happy to find not very expensive nintendo swith controler for a good price, and the ergonomics is very good and fits well in my hand , and that from coming from an ps and xbox player , my only issue is that it recomends 2 double AA batties and it seems to drain it very fast for the time i use it i have to change it 2 to 3 times every month

I got this on sale for $25. You do miss out on the rumbling, some of the other joy-con features, and you do feel some light-weight plastic is being used. But this was $25 dollars, wireless and officially supported for the Nintendo Switch. Plus it does everything else just fine.
