Have not even been able to use it yet. Believe it needs a Ring Bridge to work effectively. But the biggest issue is that the cord/plug that needs plugged into an actual outlet to work is only about 6-8 inches long. So it is very prohibitive if trying to mount it any distance from your actual outlet.

I don’t like how the plug end is,you can’t plug two of these into one outlet because of the way it is shaped.It is easy to program though.

We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern that you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not functioning as expected. The Ring Outdoor Smart Plug allows you to make standard outdoor lighting and other outdoor devices smart, so you can control them from anywhere. With the Ring Outdoor Smart Plug, you can control your lighting from anywhere via the Ring app or a compatible Alexa-enabled device. With dual outlet control, you can set schedules and control devices plugged into each of the two available outlets separately via the app. A Ring Bridge is required to enable smart features and in-app controls.
Ring Bridge is the central hub that integrates Ring Smart Lighting products into your Ring system. The Bridge connects to the Ring app using your home wifi network and connects to other Ring Smart Lighting products using a proprietary long-range communication protocol. Without the Ring Bridge, your Ring Outdoor Smart Plug functions only as a standard plug. With a Bridge, you can control whole groups of lights, sensors, and plugs at once and be notified via the Ring app when any Ring Smart Lighting device senses movement.
In addition, you can use your Ring app to create groups of smart lights, plugs, sensors, and Ring cameras that work together to enhance security. For example, your Ring Doorbell can begin recording video as soon as motion is detected by a linked device, which turns on the lights connected to your Ring Outdoor Smart Plug.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. In the product feature description, it does inform you that this product needs a Ring Bridge in order to enable the smart controls for this device. You can also use certain Echo devices as a bridge for this product. https://ring.com/support/articles/kj3w5/Using-Your-Echo-Devices-as-a-Smart-Lighting-Bridge.

If you purchase this Ring Smart Plug be aware you must also purchase a Ring Bridge device if you don’t already own one. No where in the main description does it say this. I received the product at my home and then the instructions said to link to a Ring Bridge. So I returned it.

Who would spend $50 plus to make a $30 outlet plug work? I really thought it wouldn't require a hub, I already have another brand hub, didn't need the RING one too when I don't own any Ring products including amazon dot. Returned and bought another one that each outlet works independently for alot cheaper.

After reading your review, it seems that you did not know additional items may be needed for the smart controls of this device. We would like to note that the Ring Smart light bulb does work as a standalone product. If you would like to use the smart controls the following is required Ring Bridge, Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen), or Echo (4th Gen. Ring customer service was terrible. while chatting with customer service they essentially hung-up, i.e ended the chat on me with out answering my questions regarding the status of my week old order.
