    Returned this since it needs the new hub. I have multple Ring devices but this required me to purchase yet another to work within the home. No bueno

    Use many Ring products. This was easy to setup and worked great for Christmas Lights!

    Buyer beware- Ring Bridge device required

    If you purchase this Ring Smart Plug be aware you must also purchase a Ring Bridge device if you don’t already own one. No where in the main description does it say this. I received the product at my home and then the instructions said to link to a Ring Bridge. So I returned it.

      Ring Bridge is the central hub that integrates Ring Smart Lights, Motion Sensors, and Transformers into your Ring system. The Bridge connects to the Ring app using your home wifi network and connects to other Ring Smart Lighting products using a proprietary long-range communication protocol. Without the Ring Bridge, your Floodlight Wired functions only as a standard motion-sensing light. With a Ring Bridge, you can control whole groups of lights at once and be notified via the Ring app when any light or motion sensor senses movement.

    Who would spend $50 plus to make a $30 outlet plug work? I really thought it wouldn't require a hub, I already have another brand hub, didn't need the RING one too when I don't own any Ring products including amazon dot. Returned and bought another one that each outlet works independently for alot cheaper.

      After reading your review, it seems that you did not know additional items may be needed for the smart controls of this device. We would like to note that the Ring Smart light bulb does work as a standalone product. If you would like to use the smart controls the following is required Ring Bridge, Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen), or Echo (4th Gen. Please see our help center article for more information on our smart lights: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021664252-Ring-Smart-Lighting-Information.

    Poor Customer Service

    Ring customer service was terrible. while chatting with customer service they essentially hung-up, i.e ended the chat on me with out answering my questions regarding the status of my week old order.
