Smartphones do everything; but recording your band in a gig or for rehearsal requires something mounted on a tripod which can be done by attaching to standard camera tripod stands . 1 compromise you have one fixed 28mm wide angle focal length but stand this in the right place and the whole band is in the cameras viewfinder. HD quality video and stereo are finally in one affordable unit If you have a band , need to post for self promotion on social media ,or even of you teach or practice and need an idea of how well you perform this camera / audio recorded does it ( I won't tell you to pirate live concerts but if you are close enough Your video will get the most hits for sound and image) nuff said
