Smartphones do everything; but recording your band in a gig or for rehearsal requires something mounted on a tripod which can be done by attaching to standard camera tripod stands . 1 compromise you have one fixed 28mm wide angle focal length but stand this in the right place and the whole band is in the cameras viewfinder.
HD quality video and stereo are finally in one affordable unit
If you have a band , need to post for self promotion on social media ,or even of you teach or practice and need an idea of how well you perform this camera / audio recorded does it ( I won't tell you to pirate live concerts but if you are close enough
Your video will get the most hits for sound and image) nuff said

the audio quality wasn't high enough for demo recording. Wish we could of messed with one in the store before we bought it. We special ordered to try it out, ended up returning it. over all it did what sony said it would, as did best buy. the worst feature was the mp4 format, video recordings need converting to be put on disc. a good little camera for non professional use. was very pleased with best buy! thank you
