The exact same game you love but prettier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was awesome to be able to relive my childhood replying all of these games. The graphics are good and they didn't mess with the game play or controls too much. My only gripe is with the technology these days it would have been cool to see way more detail in this. They still kept the original cartoony style. Missed opportunity.

Welcome back
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never played Spyro when I was little. And hearing so many good things about it and it's new looks. I decided to cave in now and try it. The in-game controls are a little wonky and delayed but they just copy/pasted like 90% of the code from the original games so.. yah. Perfect for back then, not so much now. Still a great game.. games? There is a lot to do in them and a lot of collecting all of the things to get to 100% but I'm just in games for main story. Side quests are just so. I used the cheat to make my Spyro black to be a Nightfury lol. So I play a Nightfury Spyro.

My childhood
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was my childhood! The graphics and style, is really detailed funny jokes, fun colors very colorful and enjoyable! The 'small' things that this game deprives, is that some areas have these little invisible cubes that got in the way. One example, in the level in Peace keepers. A small edge near the under ground tunnel...Had a very weird spot, that's not a proper wall, should not of been there. The lip syncing with each character is spot on! It wasn't too slow or out of time. The only other problem with it was the trials-I felt like the counter counted down a bit too quick-How i put it...I thought of it to be 'rushed' and the controls were not easy to change direction. But the challenges were still doable. On the Playstation 2, with the skate boarding levels, i didn't think we had any skateboard tutorials on how to do tricks. I think automatically, you'll figure out how to do that, but since they changed it i guess, it is something refreshing. It is what it is, i still liked it. I think that some places were a bit 'unfinished' and tricky to pull off. -But the main story was really good! Loved every cutscenes-The characters looked unique for each design. Refreshing look. The design of Ripto looked so much better! I defiantly recommend people to play this fun and enjoyable game!

Oh the Nostalgia
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I grew up playing Spyro, and this new remastered version is great! It brought back a lot of great memories playing this game when I was younger. The graphics are great and well done, and the reimagining of some of the dragons is fun. Overall an easy and fun game to play. Great for family game nights or just doing some unwinding after a long day of work. I love Spyro and can’t wait to play more.

Faithful Remake
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In terms of visuals and the art style, I really love what T4B did with this game. I was hoping the game would not be a 1:1 of the originals entirely like how many of the fans wanted. Instead I was hoping for a happy medium where T4B could exercise some creativity, while still maintaining the core gameplay and charm that the original games had. And I believe they did a great job so far. I am still playing through the first game and am very happy with the way things turned out. There is something off with the gliding though. Jumps which were much easier in the originals, are much more difficult here in reignited. The new designs of all the dragons has to be my favorite part of the trilogy so far. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys platformers, and the great part about Spyro is that anyone of all ages could enjoy this game.

Great to see my favorite Spyro 2 updated.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have all the originals from the PS1 era so I'm making a reviewed based on past to present. Spyro reignited trilogy would have easily earned a five star rating. Let's start with the positive: First,it's Spyro! The gameplay is as fun and addictive as you remember on the PS1. There have also been some added bonuses and levels that were not in the original title. In fact, gaining entry into the first one nets you an easy trophy! Even though old school gamers don't need a reason to pick up this title and play all over again, it's a fun little bonus. There is now a hintbook in game that acts as a "checklist" for all the goals that need to be accomplished and all the items that need to be collected. A mini map feature has also been added that can be turned on or off at anytime. All of these additions make the game a little better in my opinion, as I remember getting "lost" at certain points in the original. So the issue of "where do I need to backtrack to?" isn't present. The camera flows much more smoothly now and doesn't get "stuck" against certain objects. The overall controls have been improved and don't feel as clunky as they did on the original. Jumping and gliding to different areas to collect that one last chest or gem isn't as trial and error as it used to be. The graphics are very beautiful and fluid. This really impressed me during the first few minute of playing the game. There are now more detailed versions of the dragons that you set free. For instance in the opening artisan level, one dragon holds a lute and wears a renaissance hat while another has a paintbrush while sporting an apron. Now unfortunately comes the negative and why I need to dock two stars. This isn't the fault of the game itself, but rather the publisher. The Spyro trilogy release date was pushed further back only to put "some of the levels" of 2 and 3 on disc. The rest must be downloaded online. There is no excuse for this. I would have waited a year to get ALL of the content from ALL three games on disc. This was a very lazy, half-truth deception. I do not pay for digital ghost copies of games. That has zero trade in value. I am not a millennial and am not going to start throwing down money for a game that I will not really own. When the PS4 is dead and the PS5 is out, I'll just no longer be able to play the remake of Spyro 2 and 3 as it's not on disc and no longer available online? After all Sony has offered up so many digital PS2 titles on PS4.I will not support this practice and encourage companies to continue this type of greed. This could have been prevented and easily made into a five star game as having all three Spyro remakes on one disc would have been amazing. If something is going to take up 55GB of my space the full game should be on the disc. Crash didn't get this kind of treatment, neither should Spyro.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this game growing up as a kid. When I first bought the PS4 I was a little disappointed it didn't have some of the old games I use to play. Well when I saw that Xbox had this game i quickly looked up to see if PS4 did. And was excited to find out that they did have it. I immediately bought it. I enjoy playing it just as much as I did when I was a kid, if not more. Graphics are great as well. It's definitely something I can sit and play for hours. I definitely recommend the game.

Spyro Brings Back the Nostalgia
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Near perfect remake (not remaster) of the original games. Quite enjoyed the old school gameplay with revitalized graphics. The ONLY downside of this collection is the vomit-inducing motion blur when turning the camera BUT, now we have an option to toggle motion blur on/off thanks to the latest patch on consoles. Recommended!

Q: QuestionI've seen from a youtube gamer that all 3 games are available to play without having to download the additional content. Can anyone else confirm this for me please?
Asked by Alanna.
- A:Answer Yes, I bought one again in 2022, because my original 2018 pre-order only had one game on the disc that required one to download the other 2 games. But now (in 2022 or after 2019) it is the newly updated disc with all 3 games included on it, which requires no download. The newer re-releases with all 3 games on disc have a CTR (Crash team Racing) insert included in the case, and the disc says Copyright 2018 and 2019. The original one-game disc only had a 2018 Copyright on it.
