I have a MacBook Pro with only the USB-C interface. I needed a very quick way to move data from micro SD card from my drone and SD from camera to the MacBook Pro. This device fits the bill perfectly without requiring any other adapters (should not need one in the first place - thanks Apple) It also has a slot for the larger but older SD card should you need it. The data transfer rate is very speedy. I am extremely happy with this card reader.
