The docking station is not like the traditional ones I was used to. It does not connect the computer to the power source, so there is an extra cord required for that. It does however facilitate duel screens, HDMI output, and the 4 USB ports helped sync/charge other devices

This is a good product, but it's not as quick as I would like. Sometimes there is a little bit of lag, but for the most part it's pretty good. Maybe would not be the best if you're gaming. Note, I am not a gamer and did not test it out on any games; literally I use it to edit videos (PremierePro on one screen, other info on the other), and I also use it to work on accounting projects (Excel on one screen, reference data on the other).

I needed a way to connect by Best Buy bought Dell laptop with 2 Dell monitors. This little unit works perfectly. Setup was easy and it allows me to have three monitors (includes the laptop monitor). With the USB ports on the unit, I can hook up a keyboard and wireless mouse as well. The only thing I unplug from the laptop when I take it with me is the USB connection to the dock and the power cord. Clean. Oh, I also had Best Buy price match this. Big savings.
