I ordered this on 2015/02/01 and received it 2 or 3 days after. It was really fast shipping compared to what Best Buy told me it would take. I swapped out my old hard drive with this one the same day I received it. I had no idea how slow my old hard drive was until I installed the new one. Everything was installing and running faster. I'm using this on a generic/gaming computer hybrid and I needed more space for installing games. I have multiple large games installed and ran out of space fast on my old 250 gb. I used to go with the thinking of smaller hard drives will run faster because they don't have as much space to cover. I didn't know how old that thinking was until I got this 1tb drive. I'm impressed and very happy with this hard drive so far. Western Digital has always been a great name for hard drives with me and this hard drive has only reinforced those experiences.

I already have a 4TB external hd for backing up my desktop pc, but I needed some additional internal storage space. This product fit the bill perfectly. The 1TB WD HD was just the right size. It was easy to install and the price was right.

I've had a 1TB WD Black drive that failed on me after ~4-5 months. These WD Blue drives are great for the price. I've managed to get 2 @ $40 each which is quite a deal. Without using benchmarks you're probably not going to notice the difference between the two drives. For gaming, these are great. WD Black are much more audible but it's not much different. Will see how these hold up as any HDD can fail.
