I ordered this on 2015/02/01 and received it 2 or 3 days after. It was really fast shipping compared to what Best Buy told me it would take. I swapped out my old hard drive with this one the same day I received it. I had no idea how slow my old hard drive was until I installed the new one. Everything was installing and running faster. I'm using this on a generic/gaming computer hybrid and I needed more space for installing games. I have multiple large games installed and ran out of space fast on my old 250 gb. I used to go with the thinking of smaller hard drives will run faster because they don't have as much space to cover. I didn't know how old that thinking was until I got this 1tb drive. I'm impressed and very happy with this hard drive so far. Western Digital has always been a great name for hard drives with me and this hard drive has only reinforced those experiences.

I already have a 4TB external hd for backing up my desktop pc, but I needed some additional internal storage space. This product fit the bill perfectly. The 1TB WD HD was just the right size. It was easy to install and the price was right.

I've had a 1TB WD Black drive that failed on me after ~4-5 months. These WD Blue drives are great for the price. I've managed to get 2 @ $40 each which is quite a deal. Without using benchmarks you're probably not going to notice the difference between the two drives. For gaming, these are great. WD Black are much more audible but it's not much different. Will see how these hold up as any HDD can fail.

Excellent drive for a small budget, speed is almost equal to WD black drives but quieter, has 2 years warranty compare to 5 years in black.

This drive is VERY reliable and fast as it gets for the type of drive it is. I mean, don't expect to run as fast as an SSD drive but it's a great secondary drive or a replacement for what u already have. If you do have the extra cash then fork it over and grab an SSD but this is a great bang for your buck!

This drive is more than enough for the average user, it is fast (not as fast as an SSD though) and quiet. It's a hard drive with movable parts, so don't expect it to be drop-dead silent. I am expecting this one to also have excellent reliability within the next few years, but then again, no hard drive is perfect is built to last forever. In the meantime, it would have been even better if they had released 2tb or even 3 or 4 tb versions of the blue drive.

I needed a hard drive with a faster response time than the one that I was using. The drive was incredibly easy to install. The software, downloaded from the Western Digital website, copied my old drive's information perfectly. It is very quiet, too.

The western digital 1 TB hard drive is great. I provides plenty of storage for all of your video music or games, while remaining at an affordable price for almost any budget.

I just built my first desktop computer. This HDD works good. But it doesn't come with two cables. There is a connect cable for this HDD in my motherboard, but I bought the power cable for this HDD myself.

Installed this in my desktop at work, it's working great so far without any issue. This is a bare drive without any sata cable or screws. Got it on sale @ around $45 plus tax.

Works perfect right out of the box. Super simple to set up. This was a replacement for my main HD, a simple disk cloaning procedure with True Image, then just swaped out my old, dying drive with the new one, and restart! Ta Da! Back in business! This came as a bare drive with no cords, which was fine with me, since it was a direct replacement project.
