When my HD decided to start playing hide n seek, I knew it was time for a new main drive. After reading the reviews on many 1TB drives, I settled on the WD blue as a good mix of performance and moderate price. I cloned the existing Seagate drive with clonezilla before it decided to hide for good, popped in the WD blue, then dumped the image back on the PC. No snags and the new drive works smoothly, quietly and quickly.

It's a decent sized hard drive for a decent price. Can't go wrong with this product.

I bought this hard drive after testing to be sure EaseUS Todo software (free!) could duplicate the OS system on my old XP computer/drive. Using a $5 Sata cable and a few small screws from another old computer, it installed easily. I then opened Disc Management and followed some simple instructions I'd googled on how to get my Win 10 machine to recognize the new drive. I then duplicated my hard drive onto the new WD drive and now, when I boot up, I can start and run my system on the new WD drive. A fail safe for fatal viruses or original hard drive failure which is getting more likely after the 5 years it's been spinning along.

Purchased this WD 1Tbyte internal hard drive to back up my desktop PC system using an external hard drive duplicator. The original 1Tbyte drive gets stored in a safe place and I use the duplicate WD 1Tbyte drive in my PC. It has been working perfectly for several months. I plan to buy several more of these for future back ups.

The hard drive was fast and silent, perfect for audiophiles!

WD Blue (Caviar) drives are some of the most reliable and fastest drives in their category, at the price I paid they could not be beat (best of all no rebates involved). I use them in a USB 3.0 sled for doing my backups. Arrived quickly, well packed, and have been working since.

This PC hard drive was easy to install and configure. My only criticism is that it did not include a SATA cable to connect to the motherboard. Decent price and performance

I spent a good few days looking for a hard drive that worked for me and my needs at the price. This one ranked number 1 in the price range. I got it promptly and installed it immediately. I love it so far. I am thinking of buying one for my husband.

Works great out of the box. Hope it stays that way. Also, hope you have a SATA cable because this doesn't come with one. You might also need mounting screws. But if you're buying a bare drive, you probably know all that.

We are constanly buying hdd's and out of all the companies that we have tried WD has the best warranty, mean time before failure and reliability. I am always satisfied with WD and would not purchase another brand.

This drive out of the box was easy to install, already formatted. All I had to do was partition it for the OS software. Having it the case is an advantage when the PC is moved to another location. The 1TB size is perfect for most computer users.

This hard drive is in my new gaming PC that I just built and it really performing great. I have had no problems with it, and I will probably end up buying another one because I've already used up half the space on it with my college work and my games. I'd give a 10/10

I have use WD drives for years and this is hands down the best price point I've ever seen for a 1TB drive. It has 64mb of cache and only cost me 40.00 bucks. Wow! Now I just need 3 WD Reds for my raid config.

I bought this hd for my desktop I built over the summer. I use as a secondary drive for storage and a ssd for boot. This has done exactly what it should. This computer is used daily and for at least 5 hours a day. No problems with the hard drive so far!

Pretty good price for this much storage. I don't have to worry about running out of space and it is relatively quick

I purchased this hard drive after dropping my computer and damaging an older one. It was exactly what I needed for a great price. The drive was easy to install and didn't require any pin manipulation or special treatment.

I needed a drive and eventually bought two of these to test two different versions of Red Hat installations. They're both in place and working great. smartctrl shows no errors on either. Thanks for offering this model!

This is about the Western Digital "Blue" line 1TB 7200 RPM internal hard drive. I compared this with other hard drives online before purchasing this one. Cutting to the chase, this drive is comparable in performance with WD's "Black" high performance line, and is very quiet in operation - and for a lower price. I needed it as a secondary "D:" drive on my PC, so performance, low noise, and reliability were paramount. I considered larger capacity drives, but decided that 1TB would be sufficient for my needs - along with the slew of external drives I already use. If a 1TB drive suits your needs, then I highly recommend this one.

This drive was easy to install. Once it was installed i ran my backup program to restore the latest backup of the old drive and once it finished the drive was up and running.
