I bought this super compact little drive to use with my Xbox One X and works just fine for that. Immediately recognized when I plugged it in, but had to reformat it so it could be used to for games and saved games. (you are prompted to do this) Write speed is quite slow for an SSD but read speed is a decent improvement over mechanical HDD. Which is what you want when launching games or saved games. Just be prepared to wait when copying games from the internal drive to the SSD. Very short built in cord, just a few inches, may not be enough for some folks. But perfect for Xbox. Works on all Xbox One X USB ports, btw, which are all 3.0

This external drive is perfect for backing up photos. Since it is an SSD, the transfer speeds are fast and it's easy to navigate through photos. I got this for my Mother to backup the family photos that she had not backed up. I expected it to be small, but it is smaller and lighter than I expected. The only con that I can think of would be the price. SSDs are not cheap, but it is well worth it to use an SSD over a hard drive for many reasons. As far as pricing goes, the WD Passport Go is competitively and fairly priced.

Fine drive. Good price. Using for backup of 500G hard drive on laptop. Should have gone with a 1T drive just so I wouldn't have to delete backups as frequently. Not a product issue. Works seamlessly. Appears to be fast.
