One out of three of these Wemo Thread-enable plugs which I bought from Best Buy would not work with HomeKit. Got an error during installation saying "The accessory cannot be used with HomeKit". Factory-resetting the plug did not fix the issue. I just returned the defective unit to Best Buy.

Use this plug to control my outdoor steplights. WeMo with Apple Home. However, my only disappointment is you can’t use it with WeMo App. Highly recommend.

Works great with homekit. Thread makes it work super fast and responsive
