I bought one of these inexpensive and compact units to extend the coverage of our AT&T U-verse router, which is, of necessity, located in one corner of the house. I put the TP-LINK about 25 feet away in the laundry room where we have some spare outlets, and now I've got wireless coverage all the way through the garage and back yard. I had to use the second of the two suggested methods for connecting it to the main router, but since then, it's worked flawlessly.

I've tried many a wi-fi extender in the last couple years mostly for the poor wi-fi spots in and around my house. When we're in our backyard, we like to be connected on our phones and tablets too. Many worked well at first but often get laggy after awhile. Have had this RE200 wifi extender for about 3 weeks now & it's been consistently strong with our wi-fi connection. Really quick setup too. Just plug & wait for the lights to come on per the manual (pic 01). Have to connect to its extender wi-fi on my phone/tablet (pic 02). I'm pleased and my kids are pleased with how quick & consistent our connection has been in our backyard. Greatly recommended. Submitted as part of sample program.

I was sent this item to test and review it. Upon arrival I noticed it was packed very well and it was simple to open and get started. The package included the wifi extender, all the necessary instructions and an Ethernet cable. Once opened up it is practically plug and play. I happen to have a wifi router that supports wifi protected setup (wps) and this made it very simple to connect. 3 easy steps: plug the extender in, press wps button on router and then on extender - Done! You can relocate the extender whenever you want and you don't have to set it up again. The actual performance of the extender has been great. My bedroom is about 50ft from my router and I was usually at 1 bar of reception, but now with the extender placed in the middle of my room and the router I have a full 4 bars. The speed has been great as well. The main reason I wanted a wifi extender was to extend the signal to my bedroom and also to my detached garage. My garage is about 100 ft away from my router and I would usually only get LTE out there. Now with the extender I get 2-3 bars consistently. So to recap: this extender has the easiest set up there could be. I'm able to relocate it at any time if I want the signal to be stronger in a different portion of the house, garage or back yard. The range has been extended by at least 50ft beyond my routers original signal (that's about the farthest I tested it, may go further but I didn't need it any further). It is small, about the size of a night light or glade plug in. I have not run into any problems or issues with it, so I don't see any cons in this extender. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a boost in wifi signal range.

Customers consistently note the ease of use, extended range, and improved signal strength of the Wireless AC750 Wall Plug Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender. Many appreciate its affordable price and generally positive performance. However, some users experienced connection issues and found the instructions somewhat unclear. The compact size was also a frequently cited positive.
