I bought one of these inexpensive and compact units to extend the coverage of our AT&T U-verse router, which is, of necessity, located in one corner of the house. I put the TP-LINK about 25 feet away in the laundry room where we have some spare outlets, and now I've got wireless coverage all the way through the garage and back yard. I had to use the second of the two suggested methods for connecting it to the main router, but since then, it's worked flawlessly.

I've tried many a wi-fi extender in the last couple years mostly for the poor wi-fi spots in and around my house. When we're in our backyard, we like to be connected on our phones and tablets too. Many worked well at first but often get laggy after awhile. Have had this RE200 wifi extender for about 3 weeks now & it's been consistently strong with our wi-fi connection. Really quick setup too. Just plug & wait for the lights to come on per the manual (pic 01). Have to connect to its extender wi-fi on my phone/tablet (pic 02). I'm pleased and my kids are pleased with how quick & consistent our connection has been in our backyard. Greatly recommended. Submitted as part of sample program.

I was sent this item to test and review it. Upon arrival I noticed it was packed very well and it was simple to open and get started. The package included the wifi extender, all the necessary instructions and an Ethernet cable. Once opened up it is practically plug and play. I happen to have a wifi router that supports wifi protected setup (wps) and this made it very simple to connect. 3 easy steps: plug the extender in, press wps button on router and then on extender - Done! You can relocate the extender whenever you want and you don't have to set it up again. The actual performance of the extender has been great. My bedroom is about 50ft from my router and I was usually at 1 bar of reception, but now with the extender placed in the middle of my room and the router I have a full 4 bars. The speed has been great as well. The main reason I wanted a wifi extender was to extend the signal to my bedroom and also to my detached garage. My garage is about 100 ft away from my router and I would usually only get LTE out there. Now with the extender I get 2-3 bars consistently. So to recap: this extender has the easiest set up there could be. I'm able to relocate it at any time if I want the signal to be stronger in a different portion of the house, garage or back yard. The range has been extended by at least 50ft beyond my routers original signal (that's about the farthest I tested it, may go further but I didn't need it any further). It is small, about the size of a night light or glade plug in. I have not run into any problems or issues with it, so I don't see any cons in this extender. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a boost in wifi signal range.

This is a good extender at a moderate price. The instructions to connect to my existing WiFi were easy to follow, and setup was quick. The reason I purchased the extender was to plug in a VOIP phone that was in a different room from my modem. The phone worked perfectly when plugged in. The extender only stopped working once in a month. I just unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it worked again. Good value for the money.

I bought this for my teen because she wasn't getting wifi connection in her bedroom. Once I figured it all out it was as easy as 1,2,3 and it's done! Didn't even take me 10mins! It was up and running in no time. Downside is the instruction manual that it came with is a bit confusing so I went online and search for the instructions and voila! Done! It's been a month and a half and it is still working perfectly with no problems at all.

Easy setup for an expert but can see how a novice may get confused by the instructions a little bit. Overall had it up and running in about 10 minutes with two different routers. Comcast I used for 2.4 GHz range and then I had a Cisco router I used for the 5 GHz. Did this just to see if it would work for the 5 GHz and was impressed that it did. For the price great unit

This is my first Tplink product and I'm glad I decided to go with it as the price and performance definitely beats all other competitors even with the big names like Netgear and Linksys , I only faced one issue which i could not resolve, here it goes.. at first when I setup the extended wifi network I chose to make it the same SSID as my current network and noticed that I was having connection issues and some slow performance issues, i was tempted to call support but decided to reset the extender and make the extended network ssid different than the current network, problem disappeared and all is working well since

The TP-Link - Wireless AC750 Wall Plug Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender works for me, I bought it to extend my Wi-Fi range from my home to my RV shed about 50' across my lawn. Plugged it into an AC outlet on my patio, it synched up quickly, and my laptop works fine without the hassle of moving my hub out there.

My router is located on the lower level of the house. Consequently, I had dead spots upstairs in the bedrooms. After some research, I bought this Wi-Fi extender to solve the problem. I followed the instructions and plugged it in an outlet close to the router and established the signal. Then I moved it upstairs to a location where I still could receive a strong signal. The extender now does the rest. No more dead spots. The unit is compact and not noticeable. I am very pleased.

I really needed this for an office in remote part of home (from wireless router, that's the opposite side of the house on a lower floor). I was able to configure it in about 5 minutes, then moved it to a location just outside the office. The signal in that office now is 100% bars, it varied between 20-40% previously.

The directions weren't totally clear and took a bit to figure out. When I tried tech support, that was suppose to be available 24/7, no one answered. I did get the directions figured out and then set-up was easy. It's extending my wireless coverage through my whole house now,

I'll say right off I'm usually pretty handy with technical gadgets. I worked in IT for decades although was not a network/wifi specialist. I found the product very easy to configure and the instructions quite clear. I placed it in the middle of my house (my router/modem is located at a far end). Now I have strong/very strong wifi signal everywhere in my house. Finding the best location for the range extender did take some experimentaion.

Just moved to a larger home (3,600sf) and my U-Verse router had difficulty dispersing its signal to half of the house...when installed (Very easy) the signal strength is now equally spread throughout the house.

This booster is for someone with a small house that needs a little boost. It is not the best on the market by any means but it will get the job done. It is very easy to set up and even has the option to plug in an Ethernet cable into it.

Neat little device. Set up after reading the quick start guide. Took about 5 minutes at most in close proximity to main router and my laptop. Once the go lights came on I moved the range extender to a receptacle in the attic above the garage. Now I have 2g and 5g nearly full strength in the garage and front yard as well as better wifi overall throughout the house.
