Minor flaws do not hinder fun game...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sims 3 for consoles is a fun game with a couple mior flaws. For starters, it is nearly identical to the PC version save a few details. t is not as seamless as the PC version. There will be loading screens as you travel around town. They are not excrutiatingly long, but whether it is a bother depends on the person. The graphics are not as crisp as the PC version, but they still look great. The game has lots of items to unlock, and loads of content that will likely keep you busy for a while. Additions have been made to the number of floors you can build on a home. You no longer need to make friends to advance in a career, but having friends does pay off in other areas. There are more career options than ever, and just exploring the town you will stumble upon many suprises. Create A Sim is at its best as you can create your own styles, and there are more options for custimization than ever. I will not give away everything, but if you have played the PC version, you will know a lot of what you will encounter. One addition exclusive to consoles is Karma Powers. These are basically there to speed up some of the tedious activities such as skill building. They also can have unexpected results. Console owners did have to wait a year and a half for a somewhat watered down version of a PC game, but there is no denying it's charm. If you are a fan of the Sims you will like this game.

Sims 3 Rocks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I want to get this negative sterotype away. The Sims 3 is not a two player game. I read bad review after Reviews about this. 1st off, no Console Sims was ever a 2 player game. get over it. Second, The graphics rock!!! Music not so much, but you can download your own tunes! The loading time is somewhat a pain in the butt, but hey remember its a console. The new update to the Sims 3 is amazing. For instance, you can invest in store or buy them out right. When you try for a baby and succeed. the Female sim shows. I've been playing the Evil track and thats fun. What I like the most is the exchange. Its free to join and the choices are almost infinite! I just bought the Simpsons House and the Tomb Raider manson. The down side is nobody seems to making pirates. The all new Karma powers can help or hurt you in a very bad way. Like they say Karma can be a you know what. Just remember when using Karma...what goes around comes around. I highly recomend buying the guide so you have some sort of idea on what the goals are. If you never played the seems before, buy this one. I've played my friends Sims 3 for the Wii and just hated it! Please get this game at Best buy. I was reculant to buy this game until I asked a clerk and he recommend it to me. I am very happy with my game.

Hours of fun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS3 version seems to have a few bugs... mostly minor (like dirty plates becoming attached to the character's hand which decreases the character's mood), but most of these have a work around. Strangely some of these even add to the fun with the way the characters react in the game. However, at least one bug corrupted a saved game I'd spent a lot of time on. Save in multiple slots in case one file gets corrupted and it seems to work well. The loading is an annoyance, but it's no more than any other PS3 game I've played. Despite all this, the game is completely worth the investment. The game play is addictive. The things you can do with Karma powers, reward points, and wishes add a story line and a little bit more fun to the cheats most often used by Sims players past. The interactive story line creates endless options and lots of fun.

Very Good Game.

Another plus is that you can do what ever you want. I Don't like that there is no direct control but the game is very easy to adjust to, moving around, tasks,ETC. i would tell any gamer to buy this if they want some fun and easy Trophies. The Exchange is also a good online tool to download some other users created sims and other things.

Basically the same as Sims3 on the computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the sims 3 and I have the expansion packs, and I got this one thinking I would be able to use it online. Maybe I just haven't figured it out yet. The gameplay is the same as the computer, other than a few things like Karma, but thats just like influence in Sims 2 (I barely use it, but that's just me). All the jobs and career goals etc. are the same, I think there might even be less furniture but I have the High End Loft Expansion pack. I think they could have added more, especially with opportunities and things like that. It would have been nice if they had pets etc like Sims 2, something that the computer didn't have.

Fantastic!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this game for my PS3 since my other copy for PC wouldnt run on my computer. The console version is very fun and addicting, just like the PC version is, or so I've heard. Your Sims do age quickly, but thats part of the game and you get rewarded when 10 of your Sims die, so it's interesting that way. I play this game almost every day and usually get sucked in for 2 hours each time. I recommend for any Sims fan.
