Big Boi and Phantogram!

I've been listening to Big Boi since the 90s, and anything by him or Dungeon Family usually gets a blind purchase from me. This EP definitely did not disappoint. I first found out about Phantogram around 2010ish, since Big Boi shouted them out a couple times, and quickly tracked down all their music too.
This team sounds great together. It takes all the good parts of their separate work, and mixes it up into some funky outer space gumbo. Dope rhymes and angel melodies over some outlandish synth work and hard beats? Yes please!
Frequent Big Boi collaborators Chris Carmouche and Ray Murray (of Organized Noize mythology) join in to make the production really knock. Hornz Unlimited breathe even more life into the party on "Fell In The Sun". 9th Wonder blesses them with a solid beat for "Put It On Her". Killer Mike and El-P stop by for a couple minutes on "Born To Shine" to say whatsup to your mom and remind the world why 'Run The Jewels' is a problem. I don't listen to much Skrillex, but his production on "Drum Machine" works, and leaves you with a good smack in the face to close out the album.
Don't sleep. Buy it! The CD has some nice artwork too.

This is a great album if you love HipHop and Indie music. It is tastefully done and sounds organic, not like an amalgam. The music sounds great and you could almost hear it on a Phantogram or Big Boi album. And, Phantogram was on some tracks from an earlier Big Boi album. So they really sound great together and made great music.

Awesome amazing wonderful album. Big bois lyrics combined with phantograms edm beats, with an added female soprano voice. I wish it had more than 7 songs but I listen to the album on repeat. Love all 7 songs. Goldmine Junkie is my fav.it was the first disc I have bought in years and definitly worth every penny. Check it out.

Despite being a great collaborative album that anyone should hear. I would have given it a better rating if it had given me more than just the top sins for tracks on here

I had high expectations and they were met. I hope they come out with a full length at some point because the chemistry is undeniable.

Good music sonically. Should have been a much longer disc. That is the only drawback.

This was a semi banging CD by Big Boy. Would be glad when he and Andre 3000 get back together. They are awesome together.

This record is a joint effort by Big Boi of Outkast fame and Phantogram. Not too bad
