Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace the smoke detector in my bedroom thinking it would be nice to have it connected to my Smartthings hub. Really, that feature probably isn't worth the added expense. I don't have too much of an issue with it, however, occasionally it will disconnect from the hub seemingly for no reason. It isn't too often, but getting a random alert it disconnect is annoying. It probably wouldn't be so annoying if there was a good reason to have this connected to get alerts to your phone. Maybe if there was a carbon monoxide problem, but I can't see this being too useful if there is a fire. If a fire takes down your network before the alert go out, it won't get to you. Unless you really want the Z-wave functionality, I would recommend saving a few dollars and get a model that doesn't have it.

Quality smoke detector but difficult to install

The installation should be more intuitive. I rarely have to make a call to do an installation but with this it was necessary. A second install would be easier but that is little solace. I am on the fence as to whether I would recommend this.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is hard to get to work with Ring APP and seat up by new betrays the betrays with it do not work getting help from First Alert you will note I did get the runaround and Ring will not help if you did not get from them and Best By is No help at all I had to go back two times for a new Alarm

The pairing with Alexa though was a nightmare. After a few tries I gave up and basically using it as a standard smoke and CO2 alarm.
