Connected right up with my Ring setup. Much cheaper than Nest Protect and better than the Ring listener. However, I wish there was a hardwired version. Don’t know how reliable they are, but hope I never have to find out.

Good priced dual action detector. Only reason I gave 4 stars was one of the three I bought had to be returned. Every 3-4 days the dead battery chirp would go off, usually in the middle of night despite always fresh batteries. Replaced and so far, after 3 weeks all good. Very pleased over all and would recommend- easy install, nice and loud and does the job.

Seems to be a great product. Was easy to install and set up. Love that you can track the battery life on the Ring app. Not giving 5 stars because they haven't gone off yet (due to smoke), so I really can't gauge how well they work, but assuming they are just as good as my old ones.

I bought 3 of these as a package offer, nice to have them integrate with Ring security system, but it was not easy to pair with Ring. The first one was straight forward, but the 2nd and 3rd won't work no matter how many times I tried and researched online and followed instructions from both First Alert and Ring Security. At the end I had to call Ring technical support, after been transferred a couple of times, I could finally follow the step-by-step instruction from the guy on the phone which is completely different from any published instructions to have the last 2 paired up. When I asked him why the "secret" but correct instruction is not published anywhere on either Ring or First Alert guides, he said it was their "internal troubleshooting steps".

I have a couple nest smoke detectors and although I like the features, I wanted something that could be connected to my Ring security system and was less expensive. I have the optional monitoring service for my Ring alarm and once this was set up, it is now also part of that monitoring. You can also provide a custom name for each device and if activated the app tells you the detector that has gone off. The only thing that I wish this had was the ability to announce an activation by name over all my first alert devices. I would and will buy again as replacements for the nest units once they have reached end of life.

Easy and simple set up. Pairs perfectly with ring. Hardest part is trying to figure out why you have multiple devices. Remember it will show up on your ring app once as a smoke Detector and once as a CO monitor

I was very happy to get one that works with my Ring alarm, without having to completely go all in on the Ring specific ones. It was time to replace a couple of the ones I had. Most times, the smoke and carbon monoxide were different devices and costs double what this did. Installation myself was easy, setting it up within my ring app was easy and quick.

Full disclosure, I bought this to use as a standard Smoke and CO alarm. I am NOT using the smart home functionality (i.e. connecting through Ring). I bought this one anyway since Best Buy was selling it for less than the non "Ring capable" version at my local hardware store. As a standard Smoke and CO alarm, it does what I need it to. I like the ability to swap out batteries as needed so that I don't have to replace the entire unit down the road.

I assume this is a very good product. The only issue is that it only works with Ring. That's unfortunate, because I heard that First Alert products, without necessarily using Ring, are reliable products.

Easy setup, compatible with the Ring Security Alarm. Highly recommended one device two life saving features.

My elderly parents needed a new Carbon Monoxide Detector and looking at different options, I decided to go with this one, Because it was a Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide detector in one, They don't have any "Smart" devices in their home so I cannot speak to how they work, but they are protected for smoke and Caron Monoxide

First Alert adverstises that their Smoke and CO combo alarm connects with Ring via Z-Wave but the signa strength is so low you need to have a strong WiFi router or extender in the same room where you place the sensor. This isn't a problem Ring EERO wifi extenders but old extenders from Net Gear needed to be in the same room to not have weak connections and result in Ring flagging the sensor as failed.

Glad that they recently added hardwired...setup is a little hit and miss through the app but tough to tell who's to blame for that. Does what it's supposed to once it is successfully setup in the app it does what it's supposed to.

I only recently purchased these and I hope to never have a reason to know how well they work. They were easy to install and don’t look any worse than any other smoke detector. They are a little more expensive than other detectors and show up as 2 devices in the smart app. One is a CO detector and the other is a smoke detector.

Over the years I lost two of these, however they work really well with Ring, so I decided to replace with the same model

This smoke/ carbon monooxide alarm combo unit is compatible with my Ring security system. That is why I bought this item because Ring does not have smike detecter device. This is a perfect device for our house.
