It definitely pops popcorn

The unit does not have an on/off switch. Yes, you read that correctly. You plug the unit in to start the wheel/rod turning motion and to enable the heating pad; you unplug the unit after you hear the last pop of the popcorn (e.g. that last pop follow by about 2 seconds of non-pop should signify that there is no more corn to pop). I find the lack of the on/off switch a minor inconvenient, hence, this item gets only 4 stars from me. Other than that, this unit works great for popping popcorn.

Decent popcorn popper.....

Some kernels are chewy and get stuck in our teeth, which isn't to our liking. I've read this problem may be a result of steam produced in the unit and not enough ventilation, so I'm planning on drilling a few holes in the top of the cover, which hopefully will help.
