I had no choice back to accept delivery because my current frig was bad and i lost all my food. Installation was to be free, but the tech who came to do the work, realized the doors would have to come off and tried to charge me money for the install. The frig seems to work fine, but i have the Total membership so lets cross our fingers it continues to work properly. In all, the frig is large and is working. But thimbs down for the delivery and trying to upcharge me. I ended up doing all the work myself.

LG refrigator review

They drastically changed the way you can adjust the shelfs. Normally, each shelf can be adjustef sepertly as there atr hooks on each shrlf with a track st the back. This refrigator only has two tracks and molded slots on each side that the side must fit into. In effect, LG has decided where you are allowed to put your shelves. I guess they decided the customer is wrong and they know better.

Not so good experience so far

This fridge looks really nice and although we started with GE, we landed on the LG as it looked really nice and had more space than our old GE. Best Buy didnt tell me that they dont hook the plastic pipe connection (I understand why but it would have been good to know at the time of buying). And only 3 weeks later, the fridge has stopped cooling. I keep the temp at 0F-Freezer and 37-Refrigerator, but everything is melting in the freezer section and its about 45+F in the refrigerator. The craft ice maker has stopped making ice. I booked an appointment and was told that my appointment is on 10/3/2023, I get a call on 10/3/2023 that your appointment is actually on 10/10/2023. I wasn't expecting this experience from a company like LG and Best Buy.

Spacing sucks

They have a lot of room, but the adjustable shelves, you can’t even fit a bottle of water on any shelf. Except for half of the folding in shelf, which most would use for big things such as milk, juice, wine, etc. you can’t even fit a bottles of beer or anything. I would look at the spacing on the shelves for different models. It makes the fridge almost obsolete and useless.

One of the reasons we bought this model is for the Craft Ice, but buyer beware!! If you have a water softener in you home the refrigerators filtration system does not filter out the salt, and your "craft Ice" is full of salt particles. So you can't use the craft ice. Very frustrating that the sales person does not advise on this issue. Nor either company.

Buy elsewhere or do not buy

The fridge is extremely expensive, and BB commits to price-match for 60 days, but does not follow through. Within the first 45 days the ice maker showed issues. No one from BB responds. It's a nightmare company we will never do business with again.

Not a quality product

It even hasn't been 2 years and I am seeing fan issues which has stopped making craft ice. it keeps on showing ff ee error no matter what and LG doesn't cover it under mfg warranty. Not worth the money. I would rather buy other brands. Waste of money.

really sad.....thought LG be the way to go

Another broken ice maker from the Koreans

LG support was so difficult to communicate with and finally said they would ship me a replacement ice maker part and that I would have to replace it myself.

Poor Design.

It keeps defrosting and refreezing it leaks water onto floor. After a year Samsung eventually refunded our $ at a depreciated rate. Not buying a fridge where ice maker does not live in the freezer part again.

DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR FOR TECHNOLOGY

In less than three weeks, we had two Bespoke Refrigerators with the Family Hub screens that didn’t work. The first one was delivered and was immediately defective out of the box - the installers could not get to work. Best Buy sent replacement refrigerator that lasted less than 10 days before the screen went black. We are exchanging it for an another brand’s refrigerator with the same configuration and larger storage capacity but without the internet technology. Not all technology is better. I do not recommend this refrigerator because two failures of the same nature in brand new products indicates a novel concept that was not fully developed and/or properly executed.

Over priced junk

HOWEVER one of the main selling points is the cocktail ice maker in the freezer. Ours just broke for the fourth time.....I can't imagine how they can charge this much for something that breaks constantly, also we have only had it 2.5 years. When we do get the unit fixed it costs us 500 dollars. So every year we pretty much spend 1,000 dollars just to keep fixing that one element. The company should be responsible for fixing these in perpetuity, since they allowed for a cheap alternative to be installed in their unit. Truly it so frustrating and will never recommend this unit for anyone. I'm also a GC would builds high end homes and most clients want this item. Looks like were looking elsewhere.

Great While It Lasts

The fridge is very nice with ample storage capacity and nice features including the craft ice maker. We really enjoyed it. However, and it’s major for us, we purchased in July 2020 and it was dead by Christmas 2024. In the fourth year of ownership we replaced the craft ice maker for $250, then had a refrigerant leak repaired for $500 only to learn the compressor failed. We opted to not replace it for another $1,000+. Instead, we purchased a new refrigerator. We initially paid $3,300. For such a luxury item to fail so quickly and ultimately cost $4,000 in 4 years of ownership, we’ve decided it’s better for us to move away from the LG brand for refrigerators. Our home is filled with LG appliances but disappointed in this purchase, specifically the cost vs. life breakdown. We’d rather pay half the price, not have some of the failure prone “features” and hopefully not pay $1,000/year for a refrigerator.
