    Loving the easy door!

We are really enjoying our new LG refrigerator! The French door in door makes all of our morning essentials a snap to grab and put back. I can’t recommend that feature enough, we love it! The craft ice is also a total treat and we’re looking forward to using it at our next social gathering. I am deducting one star because the freezer could easily fit a slim shelf on the door for smaller items and we miss having that feature. I need to build something to recreate it. Also, I find it unusual to hear the ice maker hum as it refills its tray. Our previous Samsung fridge had a broken ice maker for years so maybe I’ve just forgotten that this is a thing… but it seems loud to me. We will get used to it over time and it doesn’t happen too often.

Great fridge with plenty of space. Love the spherical craft ice maker. Only bad thing is the door alarm being so loud after 60s open. There is no option to turn it off.

Great designed refrigerator. We were very happy with the inside layout and cc size. Unfortunately, when you buy an open box item you do not know know why is was returned or what kind of damage may have. The refrigerator still had the shipping tapes and stickers, out of the same models this refirgerator was a beauty. Again, unfortunately after a couple day we encounter the errors in the front display 1F E. After disconneting and connecting again to erase the error a technician came to check on it, a neew PCB was installed but the error kept coming. After two weeks the refirgerator stop working, no cooling, no freezing, yikes, a lot of food had to be trown away.

Searched high and low for this fridge to be delivered in a timely manner. Best Buy delivered and installed it in 2-days. I’m really digging the easy access door and the craft ice. Haven’t tested the craft ice yet but by most accounts it does what it’s supposed to do. However, still an outrageous price for a refrigerator.

My wife and i love the fridge, the one thing i had an issue with is the measurement. The depth of the fridge without the handles are 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch greater. My front door entrance measures 35 inches wide.. The dimension of the fridge says its 34.5 inches. But with the rounded front my house entrance needs to be 36 inches at minimal. I had to remove the front doors of the fridge and made the whole experience a horrible one... But the fridge itself is great

I am loving my LG refrigerator! I ordered it, received less then a week later, installers did a fabulous job installing, my Kraft ice balls are perfect & the space is just the right fit for my family! It’s not noisy, BUT finger print resistance...........NOT! I was torn between the Samsung Hub for all the little gadgets but I’m glad I chose the LG.

The only thing that bothered me in the whole transaction and door replacement that wasn’t noticed by the delivery team, was that I specifically mentioned to the salesperson that the refrigerator looked shorter than my refrigerator at home which we bought seven years ago from Best Buy same location. He said it would have been the same height as any other refrigerator. I told him that we had a cut out that looked shorter. He said it was not shorter than standard refrigerators

BUY WITHOUT THE "CRAFT ICE" maker!

WONDERFUL refrigerator with a few awesome features! SO, WHY ONLY 4 stars! Because the "CRAFT ICE MAKER," is a waste of important freezer space and even worse! Worse? To accommodate the ice maker, the otherwise very useful freezer shelf/drawer has a LARGE CUTOUT in the back. IF you try to store anything in that space, you WILL be removing the freezer drawer and bending way over to retrieve food that has fallen through the opening. The "Craft Ice" maker is an appealing sounding GIMMICK that MIGHT be useful to people who entertain FREQUENTLY and are willing to WAIT DAYS to save up the round ice balls. The maker creates roughly one ice ball per DAY. For THAT you give up approximately 1/4 of the space in the otherwise very useful internal freezer drawer. I recently contacted LG to REMOVE the Craft Ice maker but was just told that such action would SCREW UP the fridge's brain and disable the keypad! At this time, I have NO idea what keypad.

I wish this Refrigerator had more lighting in the back wall. It has depth & there is just not enough lighting inside especially toward the back wall. I love the Fridge & the Craft ice maker. I also wish that it had a regular ice maker inside at the bottom.

I really love my née fridge. The craft ice is round!! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I don’t like the height of the shelves on the door. I would prefer taller shelves.

It’s a beautiful addition to our kitchen. The items in the door don’t get as cold as the rest I guess that’s why they don’t want you to put milk in that part… the craft ice isn’t completely round… we haven’t entertained with them yet. But so far so good. The last LG on lasted 5 years. I’ll change after a year if I would recommend

    Great Refrigerator

We’ve had this refrigerator for around a month now. It seems to be working well. When first installed it took a couple of days before it started making ice, longer for the craft ice. Once it got started it seems to make plenty of ice for day to day use. We replaced a 26 cubic foot refrigerator with this 29.5 cubic foot model. We have the convertible draw as a freezer compartment. This means we lost a wide lower drawer in the refrigerator. However, the refrigerator seems much more spacious than our previous model. It’s deeper and the lower bins are larger. The freezer has plenty of space. People complained about the craft ice being a waste but if have it set to 6 balls per day and there is always plenty in the bin. It runs pretty quiet and gets cold. It doesn’t have a night light in the water/ice dispenser like we’re used to but that’s a small issue. The items in the door seem to be cold enough and easy to access. I don’t know if the see through door has much value but I do like the light that come on when you open the outer door, I can see the levels in my coffee creamers. We are happy with our purchase and would recommend to purchase.

My family and I are pleased with this Refrigerator, from its appearance and it's functionality. This refrigerator offers plenty of space at 29.5 it is deep and wide. We also enjoy the glass option and having the ability to see in when the fridge is closed. The only reason I selected this model was because the shelves are adjustable compared to the LG without the class door option which DOES NOT have adjustable shelves. This fridge offers plenty of storage on the Top, center (which can be converted to freezer if need be, as well as, the bottom for the freezer. Some of the cons with this fridge is that ice is only enough for a family of four. If you are hosting a party, I would recommend purchasing some ice bags. The bottom freezer also makes ice in shapes of spheres. Only thing is it takes like 48 hrs to make like 3 i think and at times they are not fully solid. Overall, we are very satisfied with this fridge after owning it for over 6 months.

We've had this fridge for nearly two months now, and so far it has been wonderful. The lighting is exceptional inside the fridge, no more dark corners where food goes to die like our old fridge. The mini-door on the right is fun, along with the "double-tap on the glass to engage lights" functionality. I wouldn't say it is life changing or anything, but it is fun and moderately useful. The ice maker is great, both in form and function. The cube size is perfect and has not jammed once thankfully, unlike our old icemaker which jammed often. Being able to remove the box easily has been a help as well for dumping ice for coolers, etc. The main portion of fridge is very nice, but the shelf height is odd. The bottom right shelf allows itself to be pushed back to accommodate taller items, but it only pushes back half way, meaning we have tall bottles in the front and then in the back we can't see anything. It's a very poor design choice in my opinion. Currently we don't make much use of that area because we can't ever find anything in the back. The middle drawer is very nice, which we've made a snack and drink drawer. Great for homes with children wanting snack packs, etc. The adjustable walls in there are a bit flimsy and don't stay in place easily. I would have expected some sort of clip or clamp to help them stay in place. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying from time to time. The freezer is huge and spacious, also very brightly lit. Our old fridge, even with fresh light bulbs, was always dark and dim. The "craft ice" is fun, and in the app you can control how much it produces. The only issue is that the drawer that comes in the fridge to hold the ice as it's produced has an open back to it. So, if you produce enough of these craft ice balls that there is more than one layer of them, they can roll out the back really easily, then which you have to fish them out from behind the freezer drawer which is not easy. I do not know why it has an open back to it, but I'm soon considering taping a back to it to stop it. Now, since it's 2024, you can load the LG ThinQ app on your smart device and see details about the fridge and control some minor functionality. What is completely ridiculous to me is that, while you can control what temps the fridge/freezer are it, it does NOT tell you what the current temp is of both areas. How is that not a feature? Overall, would purchase again right now. It's only been about two months, but it has treated us well.

We love our new refrigerator, The only down side is it is not the my color insta view that the salesman told us it was. The model we got didn't have that option but that is what we wanted. The salesman said it would change colors but when it was delivered and set up the insta view didn't change color we thought we had to program it through the app on the phone but after much research this model doesn't change colors. We do love the craft ice feature and the crisper works so well. We ended up keeping this one.

I had the 3 door version of the refrigerator for that I had purchased almost 5 years ago. Unfortunately, it developed a coolant leak behind the refrigerator compartment that wasn't repairable. Thank goodness I had an extended warranty so Best Buy credited my purchase price back to replace it. Unfortunately, the 3 door model was unavailable as were any of the larger capacity units in stainless. I chose this refrigerator but had to get it in black stainless. Thank goodness my countertops are black as well as the top of my stove and the windows on my stove and microwave. That, coupled with it not being right next to the other appliances helps to make it look not so out of place. It is beautiful though. The cord doesn't come off the back of the unit. It comes off the top, right behind the left refrigerator door. Though it is the same capacity as my old unit, this one is about 2 inches deeper and 1.5 inches taller. It fits under my cabinet but doesn't leave enough room to run the cord over the top. Thankfully, I was able to hook it over the back corner of the refrigerator. I'm short but you can see the cord over the top when you stand back. It is suoer quiet when it runs too. The water pressure on this unit is much stronger than on any if my previous models. This is nice because your glass will fill up faster. The control panel offers the ability to preset the amount of water you want dispensed: 4, 8,16 or 32 ounces. The opening for the dispenser is nice and wide so it is easy to fit your cup or a pitcher. You can lock the dispenser and the on/off for the open door alarm and Wi-Fi connection are on the panel as well. There is not a removable drip tray but I'm ok with that. The removable tray would get stuck with the buildup of calcium from the water. You can just wipe this clean. You have the option of crushed or cubed ice. It makes up to 3.8 lbs of ice oer day. You can choose the Ice Plus option, which drops the freezer temperature so the ice being made freezes faster. This is helpful when you have a lot of people that use ice and they use it all. The Craft Ice is a neat feature. It makes golf ball sized round ice, which melts slower in your drinks. The default is set to make 3 balls oer day but there is an option to increase that to 6 balls. You can do this through the app and also on the control panel. The other thing to remember is that the bin for the Craft Ice takes up space in your freezer. You can remove it if you need the space. There are only 2 drawers for storage in the freezer; the main drawers and a smaller upper drawer (where the Craft Ice is dispensed). My old unit had 3 drawers but things always seemed to get stuck in the middle drawer so we won't miss that. Ther is a movable divider in the main drawer so you can divide the drawer for organizing your frozen foods. The meat drawer that used to be inside the refrigerator is now a separate door. You can also choose the temperature you want it at using a control panel inside the refrigerator. There are several different refrigerator temperature options for different foods or drinks. But a big plus is that you can drop the temperature to make it a freezer drawer. There are also movable dividers to help you organize your food. The refrigerator is layed out different from my older model. They have gotten rid of the 3 "produce" drawers and made it be 2 drawers. The 3 drawers resulted in the smallest one being too small for most produce and the other 2 were on the small side as well. The 2 drawers in this unit are nice and roomy. I think they are taller too. There are three levels of shelves. They are adjustable but the positions you can move them to make the middle shelf basically unusable, except for something flat. My other refrigerator had way more shelf room. This one has very little considering this is a super capacity unit. One of the shelves does have a front section that slides back for taller items but that means you lose the storage of the front if the shelf above it. I think part of the reason there is less shelf height may be that the "produce" drawers might be taller. But there is more room on the bottom of the refrigerator section to set things when you have to remove them to get to other things. In mynokd fridge, there wasn't that much room and I had things fall off and break. The storage in the left door is not as deep as my previous refrigerator. You can put condiment bottles in the middle shelf but the top and bottom shelf aren't deep enough. I was able to put a small bottle of Real Lemon and a small, tall and narrow relish jar in them. The storage in right door is about the same as my old refrigerator. The middle shelf height is now adjustable, which is a great feature. And the interior door that is on the back/inside of the shelves is now magnetic instead of a push in to release mechanism. This is much better. Before, if it hit something on a shelf in the main section, it would pop open. If you didn't realize it and went to shut the door, you could have broken it off. The water filter is in the lefthand door, behind the bottom shelf. In the older models, the filter was in the top of the unit. It not only took uo space and prevented you from putting tall items there, but it was hard for my 5'4" self to reach it to change the filter. The Wi-Fi connection for the app is greatly improved. The app allows you to enable Ice Plus, increase the production of Craft Ice and run diagnostics on the refrigerator. There are also several other features. All in all, this is a beautiful refrigerator. The shelving layout causes some issues but they are workable.

Certainly an upgrade compared to most fridges. Ice makers take up more space than anticipated. Clear ices is like 90$ clear but not totally. Can't keep too many tall items (milk 2 liter containers) unless you make the top shelve very high or remove it.

Love the overall size and two ice makers. The craft ice maker started off slow but after a couple of days the tray was full. The ice maker on the door keeps up and produces enough ice for the family. The only complaint that I have is that I wish the door storage was more.
