Elbow would have prevented my install from mashing the duct when they pushed it in; so I didn't notice it fell off until they had left. They didn't even use the kit I purchased. And they also didn't ground the cord so they destroyed my new dryer. Will never trust another installer, have to double check everything.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The purpose of buying this kit (other than it's a required add-on for installation) is so that you won't have your dryer sticking out 6 inches. The installer should have used the elbows to avoid that intrusion into your space. It's not difficult to do. If you still have the elbows, I recommend installing them yourself, or call Best Buy, if they installed it, or your installer to have it installed correctly at no additional charge. The installers sometimes like to tell the homeowner the elbows are unnecessary. It saves them time and effort if they only hook up the dryer to the hose.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You may already have figured out an answer to your question but we had the elbows on our venting & it wouldn’t go back any further. It actually made it worse & caused the venting to disconnect from the dryer/floor. Works better for us without them. Ours vents out the floor. However our washer & dryer do line up. Probably just have washer pulled out a little bit extra Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The elbows provided would stick out at best 5", but likely they would not sit perfectly flush so you might end up right where you started after fighting with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it wouldn’t mater actually it might stick out a little further with the 2nd elbow
