The Smart Choice Semi-Rigid Dryer Vent Kit was a mandatory purchase from Best Buy costing $32.09 when I purchased a Samsung Washer and Dryer. The opening on the new dryer was in the exact same spot as the hookup vent in the wall behind it. When the installer pushed the dryer back into place, he crushed the vent hose rendering it useless. He said that I needed to go to Home Depot and buy the "flexible dryer vent hose" that Best Buy won't sell because it's "not as safe". If your space behind the appliances is limited, this is not a good choice. I would like a refund for the $32.09 that I paid for this item that ultimately went into the trash. My request for a refund to Best Buy has so far been ignored.

This dryer vent kit helps enhance drying time, It makes the dryer work like it should in its prime! Easy & quick to install, It’s very convenient overall. The kit comes with fitted end and clamp, So your clothes won’t come out damp. While it has a silver finish, This product definitely wins a gold medal!

I thought I would not like the rigid cord , because I might want to move my dryer back to make more room. Best Buy said they were happy to come back and change it, if I wanted, when there was time. As it turned out, there was more room than before and I don’t need to worry about whether I had pulled the cord out since the dryer was working better, faster, quieter and dryer than ever and there was more free room to slide the tv and laundry trays. I dont seem to run as much risk of pulling the vent loose as with the older type I had.

I was going to use the vent that I had on my old dryer but when the new dryer was installed it had holes in the old dryer hose, I read that this Smart Choice- Semi Dryer Vent Kit was required by the manufacturer I chose to purchase this kit and I was glad that I did as it is a superior vent kit and that can handle the heat coming out of the dryer and made of superior quality to handle the hook up of the dryer vent from the rear of the dryer to the outside of the house,

It's very sturdy but it appears to be far too long (Approx 18 in.) for most installations. Because of it's length it had to be looped in order to fit the wall dryer vent which was directly behind the dryer rather than going directly from the dryer to the wall vent (see attached photo). This meant the dryer had to be nearly a foot from the wall. Not acceptable!

Never reuse dryer vent pipes when this kit has everything you need and more. Easy to follow instructions, yep a man read the instructions, and had sealing tape to leave a professional look once complete. The rigid elbows and flexible hose ensures you prevent the line from becoming restrictive and/or lint build up.

Fit an quality of vent duct was professional grade at good value.

The lent trap is great . It catches all the lent and very easy to clean.
