I’ve had this echo pop for a few months now and it has just gotten increasingly worse. I thought at first it was because she was new and my old echo dot was 4 years old before she wore out. This Echo Pop has continuously gone downhill to now where she doesn’t even listen. I can say her name multiple times directly to her with no background noise and she never lights up, or if she does—it’s a few minutes later after I’ve given up and her blue light just stays on, semi-pulsing with not even an “I’m sorry I didn’t get that.” The only time she lets me know she didn’t hear me is when I wasn’t even talking to her and said nothing remotely close to Alexa. I thought she was too close to the tv when we first moved but it wasn’t any different, now she’s further away from the tv and closer to the wall between her and the wifi modem and she’ll says she’s having trouble connecting to the internet—but only every now and then when she never moves. I wish I could have enough examples of her answering questions for me to even comment on her search capabilities. I’ve always used my Alexa’s excessively for timers and I’ll ask her how much longer is left on any given timer and 8/10 times there’s not a timer going even after she confirmed it nearly 10 minutes prior. She will light up sometimes when you talk to her then the light just goes off with no answer, nothing. If she says “ I didn’t get that, tell me again” her light goes OFF so you can’t even continue you have to restart. This is the worst Alexa I’ve ever had and I paid double what I have before for a “new” one and I’m truly disappointed.

Hi MckenzieJ, I am truly sorry about your frustrating experience with the Echo Pop thus far. To fix issues with your Echo device not responding:
Make sure you're using the power adapter that was included with your device.
Make sure you have an active internet connection.
Check that your device isn't muted. The light indicator is red when your device is muted.
For devices without a screen: press the Action button to see if your Echo device responds.
To make sure that Alexa hears you, move your device away from walls, other speakers, or background noise.
Speak naturally and clearly.
Rephrase your question or make it more specific. For example, there are many cities around the world called "Paris." If you want to know the weather in Paris, France, say, "What's the weather like in Paris, France?"
Try saying, "Did you hear me?"
Unplug your device and then plug it back in.

Couldn't figure out how to get it to work or to hook up to my phone or wifi. So it is just sitting around on the floor doing nothing.

Horrible product. Have had this for less than 4 months and it won’t even turn on. Used it to connect and extend our dot outside. That was spotty. Worked half the time. Brought it inside when not in use. Glad it was free. Not worth a penny.

Press and hold the Volume down and Volume up buttons for 15 seconds.
Wait for the light bar to turn off and on again.
Your device enters setup mode. For setup instructions, go to Set Up Your Echo Pop.
To reset your device to its factory settings:
Press and hold the Volume down and Microphone off buttons for 25 seconds.
Wait for the light bar to turn off and on again.
Your device enters setup mode. For setup instructions, go to Set Up Your Echo Pop.
Note: This reset erases all your personal information and any device and smart home connections.
Tip: If resetting your device isn’t helpful or you no longer want to use your device, Deregister Your Device from your Amazon account. Deregistering your device erases all device settings. The sound quality is great but the wake up alarms would cut out immediately after they went off. Promptly returned it and bought a Dot.

What a piece of garbage! Nothing positive to say about it. No wonder they were giving it away. I set it up which was a joke. I paired with my fire stick which completely screwed up my tv and then threw it in the trash. Seriously, not even having to use it.

I was suppose to receive this item for purchasing a TV. There were none available in store that day so it was suppose to be mailed to my address. NO SHOW! This item shows in my account. I blame this on the best buy.

The sound quality is subpar in comparison to the Echo Dot. The microphone doesn't seem to ever hear me unless I yell. Design is boring for a new Echo product. Unless it's free as a promo item; I wouldn't purchase.

-5 stars you can’t hook up Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to your phone to watch tv, play music n etc. you can ONLY use what’s on Alexa app !

(This is the button on the top with a small dot in the middle).-To make sure that Alexa hears you, move your device away from walls, other speakers, or background noise. -Speak naturally and clearly. -Try saying, "Did you hear me?" -Unplug your device and then plug it back in. -Alexa can adjust the volume your device is using if you ask her in numerical order, say “Alexa, volume 10 for loudest sound and volume one for lowest sound.” Also, to ensure your Echo device has the most current software version you can Say, "Check for software updates" to install software on your Echo device.
