Easy to setup and works very well. I will say that it will give you white lights not only green lights sometimes. But, it works and it has been helping me to have a fantastic connection! Added bonus, it looks nice and it's small enough to fit right where I need it

My goal was simple... to escape the cable company's Modem Rental Fee of $10 per month. So, I thought, I'll pick up a $25 modem and be the hero. But, after doing a little research, I learned that modems may have a bigger part to play in the health and performance of my home network than I had thought. I didn't even know that different models performed at different speeds and had different capabilities. So I asked my BB associate, which was the fastest he had in stock, and on that particular day, it was the ARRIS - SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. I found that it cost much less than a year's rental for the cable company's modem, and it was substantially faster than it as well, which I hoped would help with all the streaming we seem to do these days. The Result... it helped enough with the media streaming that it allowed me to reduce my Internet Plan from 155 Mbps to 50 Mbps (Saving me $10 per month), with no noticeable loss in streaming performance, and only a negligible difference with Internet Surfing which most people would not notice. So, my ARRIS - SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem, is now saving me $10 a month in modem rental fees from the cable company, and is so fast, that it saved me another $10 on my Internet plan (50 Mbps vs 155 Mbps). This means that in less than 5 mos my Arris will pay for itself, then after that it will be saving me $20 a month, and I haven't given anything up to do it (except the cable company's modem). On top of that, the Arris saved me from spending $300+ to upgrade my 3 year-old router which I thought was the bottleneck in our home's streaming performance, but wasn't. AND, as an added Bonus, when I switched to the ARRIS - SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem, my all-in-one printer stopped loosing its network connection, which was a daily occurrence with the cable company's modem, and an incredible nuisance which wouldn't allow me to print or scan anymore. So, if you want to put money in your pocket, and stream, scan and print more reliably, replace your cable company rental with an ARRIS - SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem.

This device was very easy to set up. It works with my service provider (Comcast-Xfinity.) The list of providers that this unit works with were listed clearly for me to review. Thank you for making it easy. My speeds are very good. It is faster than the cable modem I usually rent from my service provider and a lot cheaper (in the long run.) This one will pay for itself in one year based on the monthly charges I would have paid if I rented one. I wanted black, but I have to be honest that the white casing is growing on me. It looks very "clean" sitting on my black entertainment center. The blue LEDs are a nice touch. MY speeds are 80+mbps and 12+mbps upload in the room with my Linksys e4200 router. I am supposed to get 75mbps. It has been a great investment. I have been pleased with it so far.
