I am on my 7th or 8th pair I have lost count. I keep pursuing these because they have the best sound stage of any earbud I've ever listened to. Still can't beat cans like the Sony WH 1000xm5. These have a lot of hardware software issues. The first pair would not connect to anything whatsoever. Other pairs would not charge. One pair would not update through the application (Bose music app) one pair after making a phone call and they have by the way the worst call quality of any earbud I've ever tried they would not connect back to the phone without unpairing and repairing the headphone. I'm on I believe my 8th pair and they're working splendidly. I may have finally got it right. It has been worth the effort because they absolutely have a very very engaging sounds stage. Noise canceling is second to none.

Purchased these after breaking my case on the 1st gen Bose QC earbuds. Thinking these would be an improvement and boy was i wrong. Sound, fit and ANC were great. Call quality, connecting and durability sucks. I stuck with them because of the multiple connection features after installing the latest firmware update was installed thinking the connectivity issues would be resolved but unfortunately it didn't. The final straw was when the right earbud volume would not broadcast higher than 10%. Bose totally dropped the ball on the 2nd gen QC earbuds.

These earbuds are a buggy mess. This is my 3rd pair of QC Earbuds II and they've all experienced the same bugs. Those have ranged from randomly disconnecting to source audio devices, having sound imbalance where one side plays louder than the other, ANC imbalance where one side lets in more noise than the other, only one earbud connecting to a source audio device when taken out of the case (requiring a factory reset to fully reconnect), and the ANC taking way too long to adapt to the environment. I like the Midnight Blue colorway, but it's not enough to keep using these buggy earbuds. There have been times when I needed to factory reset these while on vacation. In order to do that, you need to plug the case into a power supply. Yeah, I'm sorry I didn't bring a power bank to the beach to reset my buggy earbuds. It's a shame because these have stellar ANC, good sound quality, and are comfortable. But Bose either doesn't know how to program firmware to properly use Bluetooth or they use cheap Bluetooth hardware. I've had better luck with the QC Ultra earbuds. They haven't needed factory resetting since my purchase, something every pair of QC Earbuds II required the first week of ownership. I suggest saving up for the Ultra earbuds or waiting for them to hit a sale. Immersive audio isn't worth it, but the better Bluetooth experience is.

The QC Earbuds II are horrible for running! The buds fit perfectly and are very comfortable. However, with each foot impact I hear a loud boomp. I tried every combination of bands and tips with no success. The previous version was perfect for running. The tips and wings are much larger than the core of the buds. This new version has extremely thin bands and small tips, and the bands are barely larger than the core of the buds. It feels like the plastic core is bumping on my ear while I'm running. It causes my ear to constantly itch. The core also gets very sweaty; the old version didn't, because sweat couldn't run down inside my ear. There is also quite often bleed in of some kind. At first it wasn't very often, but it increased to the point where it became very annoying. Lastly, this new design of one tap pause is absurd!! How can you slide your finger for volume control without first touching, which pauses the music before you can adjust the volume! There is a delay after each tap, so I think the tap didn't register and tap again, which is another separate control feature. These QC II buds are fair enough if you plan to use them for anything besides impact sports. They are comfortable for long wear, they stay put, and are excellent for noise cancelling! I'm extremely disappointed with this version of earbuds. I would not purchase these again. I purchased another pair of the original QC Earbuds instead.

These are fairly awful, especially for the price. They constantly disconnect/reconnect and the sound frequently produces a brief distorted fade in/out effect. Occasionally, only one earbud decides to work, which requires you to place them back into the case and try again. Lastly, any interruptions to what you're currently listening to (notifications, calls, etc.) will occasionally make the earbuds unusable until you reset or reconnect them. The only reason it deserves 2 stars is for the sound quality and battery life; when they actually decide to work, they sound really good and last quite a while. Overall, I wish I the old Bose Soundsport earbuds were still available; this purchase has largely been a poor experience.

These headphones have the best sound I have never heard in an earbud. Plus the noise-canceling is second to none. I want to love these headphones so much. But they make it very difficult to recommend. First, the battery life is awful. I get close to four hours with a full charge and that’s if I get a full charge. The case does a terrible job at keeping the headphones connected to charge. When I leave the earbuds in the case for a couple hours, it is very likely that the earbuds did not charge. I don’t understand how this happens but my first pair that I returned had the same problem. I thought I just got a bad pair the first time, this seems to me like it is a issue across this model. Second, I have been having connectivity issues with these. I will pull them out of the case and try to listen to something and it will not play. I have to forget the headphones, and then re-set up the earbuds to my device at least three times a week. Lastly, they sound incredible, when I’m able to use them. These are the best I’ve ever heard and the noise canceling makes it to where I can barely hear the lawnmower when I use these to listen to music while I cut my yard. These have incredible sound quality too I can hear everything crisp and clear. I thought I would be able to put up with the “idiosyncrasies” of these, but I’m looking into getting something else. I’ll take a pair of earbuds that are reliable and sound great over an amazing sounding pair of earbuds that have major annoyances.

Hi there,
It's wonderful to see that you've been enjoying the best sound and noise-cancellation from the earbuds.
I understand you've had some teething issues with them charging and connecting for you. and I have some suggestions. The earbuds offer up to 6 hours per bud at full charge, which can vary based on music volume and content of music played.
To ensure you get a full charge from the earbuds, I'd recommend first making sure that the dots on the stability bands and earbuds are correctly aligned. As them being out of alignment can leave the earbuds sitting slightly too high in the charging case. Our guide here https://bose.life/3qjK15Y also has other suggestions for making sure you get a full charge.
The earbuds sitting proud in the case from a misaligned band may also be stopping them correctly turning off in the case. Again, ensuring that they are aligned will help with initial connectivity, along with our other steps here https://bose.life/3qZvjlj on the website.
Of course, please do reach out to us https://bose.life/contact as we'd love to have you enjoying your earbuds completely.

These headphones sound amazing, the best pair of truly wireless earbuds I’ve ever heard. But the software controlling them is incredibly buggy, and looking into the previous generation and seeing the plethora of issues that it had on the software side, that often lead to bricked devices, I was hesitant to pick them up. I did end up giving them a shot, and I was even willing to deal with the software issues that popped up in my first week because the sound profile was better than even my AirPods Max. Sadly Bose decided to switch to a new ear tip system, similar to the old Jabra Elite Sport headphones, unlike Jabra, Bose does not give the option of foam tips, and I found the even their XL wings could not keep the headphones secure enough to handle running without using an oversized ear tip that did not match my canal (ruining audio quality and quickly leading to discomfort) . This has made it unwearable for me in athletics, which was the whole motivation for my purchase , I had to return them as I could not find a way to make them secure during BestBuys return window (and the return was a frustrating experience as they would not give me cash back from a debit purchase, it’s great to wait a week for them to profit off my money a bit longer, while I have to pay out of pocket for a replacement headset) On the software side, I would at times have issues where my IPhone would refuse to play a track when the Bose were connected, this seemed to of stemmed from a poor network connection as far as I can tell, despite my audio library being offline. When I moved to an area where I got a signal suddenly things started working, I’m wondering if Bose requires some kinda of call home? The headset would often have issues connecting to my phone and staying connected as well, and I found trying to control my media with the Bose app would cause the app to hang and the headphones to disconnect. The issues were inconsistent but I would spend a whole break at work trying to just make them work. It’s worth noting Bose offers additional fitment tips for an extra cost (something that should have been in the box) I gave these a shot, but they still weren’t able to stabilize the headset for me. If you have an average ear fitment, and the patience to deal with buggy software, these are fantastic sounding headphones, I’m sad to see Bose move away from their original ear wings, as theirs were always the earbuds I could rely on to fit.

tl;dr: There are way too many minor/major issues to justify the premium price. I will be returning them. I really wanted to like these. The sound quality is excellent and the ANC is better than anything I have ever experienced in earbuds. Unfortunately, there are a number if issues that a premium set of earbuds should not have. Why would Bose not include a way to to turn off active noise features. The earbuds will remove some wind noise, but much of it is still transmitted through the microphones when wind gets above 5-10 mph. Every other pair of ANC headsets/earbuds I have owned has an ability to turn off ANC/"Aware" features. These do not. You get a sliding scale between actively blocking "unwanted" noise and actively Blocking "unwanted" noise while letting in "Wanted" noise. Why no passive only mode??? The connectivity is intermittent - at best - I tried to connect to my computer but the connection will randomly drop. I have updated the firmware, removed the earbuds from all other bluetooth devices (aka, my phone), Unpaired, "forgot", deleted all reference to the device on my computer, and tried to re-pair multiple times but it still drops; seemingly randomly. The mobile connection is also janky and will not connect sometimes. I have had to delete and re-add the device multiple times. While on MS Teams calls using a mobile device, the App will not even show that the earbuds are connected - thus - eliminating any adjustability. Not that there is much... The Bose Music app is very basic. The Equalizer has 4 "sliders" with 3 positions. No advanced EQ settings. You can choose 4 "Modes" to cycle through, all of which center around the same single more/less "Unwanted" noise scale. There are a couple esoteric modes for something called "Aware" mode and "Quiet" mode, but not much documentation on what the terms actually mean.

I had a really great experience with the original QuietComfort Earbuds, so I figured I would pick up the next generation. What a mistake. (Anyone who wants to skip the following review, here's a summary: DO NOT BUY THESE HEADPHONES.) I had to return the first pair because one of the earbuds stopped working completely. Best Buy was great and allowed me to exchange them, even though I was past the 15-day mark. Now, on day 16 of owning my new pair, I wish I could return them. The current generation is markedly worse in almost every way except for being smaller and having better sound (which is valuable, hence the two-star rating rather than one). Pros vs. the original QC: * Lighter * Better sound quality Cons: * Bluetooth pairing is extremely unreliable. With almost every use, there are situations where one or both earbuds will fail to connect with my Android phone or Windows laptop. * No battery gauge on the case. The original QC case showed how much charge was left; with the new one, there's no indication of charge level and no way to determine it in any way that I've been able to discern. * The headphones are so sensitive to being touched that if you adjust them at all in your ear, something unpredictable will happen to the audio you're playing back. When my first pair started glitching, I went to the Bose site to troubleshoot them. You can't even search for issues on their Web site without having the serial number of your headphones . . . which is basically impossible to locate on the device. Eventually I dug it out of the Bose Music App--which is also essentially useless. In my opinion, the QCII headphones are expensive and unreliable, and I don't recommend buying them.

Sounds amazing. Connectivity awful. Bass is deeper than any other earbuds. One or both headphones won't turn on or connect when I pull them out of the case about 40% of the time. If they turn on, sometimes one or both won't connect to my phone. About 80% of the time. It's just too hard to use them, but the sound is so good it's almost worth the frustration.

I have never had a noise canceling earbud, but had a Sony over the ear one. the quality of the sound is not bad. it is light weight and keep up the charge pretty well considering the size. here the positives end. -it comes with 3 different size fittings. none of them stay secure and put in my ear. I tried all the combinations. It gets loose and falls off after 5-10 min sitting still. 2-beating/humming effect. I still do not know under what circumstance a hum like a half a second hear beat interrupt your loved music listening experience. the sound does not completely stop, but the music fades away for a fraction of second and it comes back strong. It occurs in stereo with noticeable delay between left and right, like the hum starts from your left ear and moves to your right ear. the worst annoying of all is this bad experience. It is random, but when it starts playing, it repeats every 30- 60 sec. 3-it is fairly low volume for my taste even when I crank up the volume. 4- although the buds are small, but the case is too big. keeping in your pants pocket is awkward and not comfy. 5- the new update provided the option to listen to either left/right or both. before, it was only right only or stereo. after the update however, every 10 times or so, the buds do not connect automatically when I take them right out of the case and put into my ear. however, my phone BT setting shows two BT devices (L and R) and both connected. I have to switch off/on BT from my phone, and manually connect to the bud. after BT cycle, my phone only shows one earbud device (not two). When I see one BT device, I know it is going to connect and work. 6- the bass is not as good as headphones I had before (mostly wired). It is OK. Considering all these problems, I wish I had spent my money somewhere else (apple pro line maybe?)

These headphones are disappointing. While I was blown away by the sound quality and noise cancellation at first, I've had nothing but trouble with these earbuds. First, they constantly disconnect. I have had them for a month now and twice I've had connection issues so servere that I thought they were permanently broken. But even if I got a pair that didn't have connection issues, I would still be frustrated with these headphones. There's no way to tell how much charge is on the case. Not in the app, nothing until the headphones stop charging. Second, there is no way of telling where the battery is without opening the app. Yes, is tells me when I first put my headphones on, but then the next thing I know I'm in low power! Third, the controls are finicky. Sometimes it lets me do the press and hold function, but more often than not it doesn't. Adjusting the volume via earbud is cool though. All in all, two stars. I'm disappointed in these headphones, but they do have some cool features.

As usual, Bose delivers on Sound and ANC. Surprisingly for a $300 pair of headphones, there seems to be issues with connectivity and/or the Android App which I didn't have the time to troubleshoot. It says on the back of the box that it's made for iPhone and that it 'works with Android'. I have a Samsung S20+. For the price, I shoudn't have these issues with a brand new headset. I returned the unit within an hour of owning it. I'll be sticking with my old Bose Quiet Comfort 35 headset for now.

On the rare occasion that they connect, and then stay connected, they work and sound great. They connect to my phone and stay working about 10% of the time. When I take them out of the charging case and put them in my ears they power up, tell me they’re connected at 100% battery power and then promptly disconnect. I have to completely replace remove them and uninstall from the Bose app and then reconnect. I do that several times and either give up and use my AirPods or they sometimes connect. The only reason they are not a one star is my wife’s work great for her.

I had high hopes for the QC II's given Bose reputation for quality, but the cons outweighed the pros for me unfortunately and I returned them. Pros: Sound is great, can customize Bass etc in the app. Class leading excellent Active Noise Cancellation. Cons: Expensive. Bulky case. Bose App connection issues. At certain frequencies the ANC causes a loud uncomfortable 'pop' sound, such as when closing car door. They seal way too tightly in ear canal causing pressure after wearing for >1 hour. No ability to connect to more than one device.

Or close to there w tax Bose sound quality is always great, but started getting glitchy with the connection after a couple months (after the return period) Changing volumes on the headphones while running is a pain, almost too sensitive but I guess all earphones go by touch these days. Light weight, pretty low key contrary to the pictures which make it seem bulgy Unless youre a Bose loyalist, might be better off with Sony or a cost friendlier route. I think most of the features can be found elsewhere as well
