The Cisco Meraki MR44 is a cloud-managed Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point designed for high-performance wireless networking in enterprise environments. Featuring 4x4 MU-MIMO on the 5 GHz band and 2x2 MU-MIMO on the 2.4 GHz band, it delivers an aggregate data rate of up to 3 Gbps. The MR44 includes advanced security features, application-aware traffic shaping, and integrated Bluetooth Low Energy for IoT connectivity. With Meraki’s intuitive cloud management, this access point offers zero-touch provisioning, real-time analytics, and seamless scalability, making it ideal for offices, schools, healthcare, and retail deployments.
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) support for faster speeds and improved efficiency
A dedicated third dual-band radio continuously monitors the RF environment for rogue access points and wireless threats in real time without impacting client traffic. Automated RF optimization tunes channel selection and transmit power via the Meraki cloud, eliminating the need for manual RF tuning or dedicated hardware.
Fully managed through Cisco Meraki's cloud dashboard, the MR44 self-configures upon connection and automatically downloads firmware updates. Features include real-time network health monitoring, remote diagnostics, location analytics, per-SSID traffic shaping, and centralized multi-site management — all without on-site IT staff.
The MR44 features a single 2.5 Gbps NBASE-T multigigabit Ethernet port that delivers both data and power over a single cable via 802.3af/at PoE or PoE+. This high-speed uplink eliminates backhaul bottlenecks common with standard gigabit access points, supporting the full throughput potential of Wi-Fi 6.
An integrated fourth Bluetooth Low Energy radio enables IoT beacon deployment and Bluetooth device scanning for location-aware applications. Enterprise security includes WPA2/WPA3 with 802.1X, AES hardware encryption, stateful Layer 3-7 firewall, identity-based group policies, and one-click guest isolation for secure visitor access.
