This device can be used with or without your car started but depending on the amount of current draw from your equipment, the car battery will eventually draw down. It’s best to start the car periodically to charge the battery as needed.
I just bought this item, charging my laptop currently. It is making a noise while it is plugged in to my car. It works, but is making a noise. Like a fan noise but squeaky. Is this normal or should I return?
