The ZR112LD is a loaded subwoofer enclosure. It comes with a 12" subwoofer already installed and wired, so you only add an amplifier. Total power handling is 800 watts RMS and 1600 watts peak. The box has an internal volume of 79.3L / 2.8 ft3. Construction is 3/4" (19mm) MDF finished in black carpet. Everything is assembled and ready to drop in, which saves the cost and time of building a custom enclosure.
A prefabricated carpeted enclosure with a ZR12.2D 12" subwoofer already installed and wired. The pairing is deliberate: the box was designed around this driver, which is exactly what a custom shop would charge you to work out.
Thick three-quarter-inch MDF for strength and clean acoustic resonance, with the port tuned to 29Hz. That low tuning is what produces the deep, hard-hitting bass you feel through the seat rather than just hear.
The dual 2-ohm voice coils are wired in parallel to a 1-ohm final load, which lets a monoblock amplifier deliver its full rated output. DS18 recommends around 1000W RMS, such as the ZR1000.1D, to run it at its potential.
800W RMS / 1600W max in a properly ported box is a serious bass system, not an accessory. This is the setup for someone who wants the car identified by its low end from down the block.
