The ZXI-112LD.RG is a loaded subwoofer enclosure with a ported box. It comes with a 12" subwoofer already installed and wired, so you only add an amplifier. Total power handling is 1000 watts RMS and 2000 watts peak. The box has an internal volume of 79L / 2.8ft3. Construction is 3/4" / 19mm MDF finished in black bed liner paint. Everything is assembled and ready to drop in, which saves the cost and time of building a custom enclosure.
Finished in tough black bed liner instead of carpet, so it shrugs off scuffs, moisture and the cargo you throw on top of it. Built for trucks, Jeeps and work vehicles where a carpeted box would be destroyed in a month.
A large front port measuring 1.96" x 13" x 23.2" moves air with minimal turbulence, which cuts port noise and distortion while maximizing output. Front-firing also means it still performs when placed against a rear wall.
The included ZXI12.2D handles 1000W RMS and 2000W max, with dual 2-ohm coils giving a 1-ohm final load. This is a competition-grade driver in a box engineered specifically to unlock it.
Three-quarter-inch MDF reduces resonance and holds its shape under the pressure a 1000W driver generates. A flexing box wastes power: this one converts it into output.
Driver and enclosure were designed together, so the volume, port length and tuning all match the ZXI12.2D. That level of matching is exactly what separates a loaded box that hits from a driver dropped into a generic enclosure.
