I do really like the updated version as I’m coming from a garmin edge 1030. The screen is clean and finally the touch screen is immediately reactive (it no longer takes a second or two to register that you’ve tapped on something). My only complaint so far is that the battery dies much quicker than the earlier iterations. I went for a 7 hour ride and my battery was nearing 30%. Still enough to finish the day, however I will have to take a battery charger with me on multi-day tours this summer.
