Screen failed in less than 6 months. No impact damage or neglect. Just started flickering with neon horizontal lines in the middle of using it.

I purchased this computer (HP 17-CN000DX) little did I know that bitlock software was installed. This software locks up the computer so your info is protected. Problem is if you or your children make the wrong entry you are locked out. Greek squad and companies want $180 to reset the Bit Lock. Beware Microsoft HP no help! SO I bought this last year in April 2023, I guess when it was on sale for $403.99. I noticed the adapter and battery doesn't charge and stays dead. HP is NOT helpful and I don't think I bought a warranty as I'm poor and didn't think that they computer would be a dud. I'm tired of HP computers and that of respect for loyal customers that buy these products and remain loyal, but I'm feel this is the last and a done deal of how the out of country people fail to acknowledge great service and help replace these always broke and defective items.

Had to take it back. Crashed repeatedly like waves on a beach. Don't know if it was the computer or Windows 11, but the worst PC I ever had. It even kept crashing as I tried to wipe it clean. HP phone support tried hard, tho ....

Even tho our sales associate knew our badic requirements, because the "fit" model was unavailable he substituted this older, less functioning model and assured us it was what we wanted.

I have only had this laptop since July 2023 and already I am having problems. I always keep it plugged in but I got a notice that it was running on battery. Then the battery died and now I have nothing. Best Buy is 1 1/2 hrs away so now I have to take it in to get fixed. Probably will be looking elsewhere and at a different brand.

I got an open box version of this and when I brought it home it had all of the personal information from the previous owner on it. HUGE MISTAKE. I had to bring it into geek squad and wait another say until it was wiped and when I brought it home it turned off on me every 10 minutes. I wasn’t offered a coupon or anything for the inconvenience.

After 6 months or so started dropping wifi connection. Update drivers, restart adapter, plu-unplug modem, doesn't fix it. Works intermitently, however it wants.

Hate it. Wish I could return it. But I did not open when it came. HP has this thing programed for all HP service. Had to change it ti accept outside HP apps cause even the free apps cost in HP.

Laptop won't power up one month after warranty expired. The needed motherboard replacement would cost as much as the laptop itself.

Bluescreen twice during profile setup. Took it right back.

Died in less than 2 years! Extremely disappointed and frustrated!

I have had nothing but trouble with it since I got it.

Battery is garbage would not recommend this device

Not what expected. I should have went with my first choice

The computer crashed after one, yes, one week. I have owned computers since Windows 98 and by the way that one still works. I collect computers and I cannot recommend Hewlett Packard to anyone. I Googled it and HP is having a programming error on a massive scale. According to the internet when a person downloads the updates from Windows 11 on a Hewlett Packard PC , the BIOS System changes, and the computer crashes and a person has to go into the BIOS System to change the settings.

Bought new, just two weeks old, only used a few times and screen went black! Turns out this is a common problem with this HP Laptop. Best Buy refused to take it back, told me to contact HP for help. Now I have to waste more time trying to deal with HP in another country.
