Wow! I purchased this printer a couple of weeks ago for $49.99!! Seeing the it is now priced at $149.99, that was a great deal!! I really enjoy this truly wireless printer. It's not hooked up to a PC. It's operating as a stand alone. Yet, I print from my MacBook, iPad and iPhone with ease. Setup was easy and was simply a matter of following instructions. This is actually a replacement for my older HP Envy 5660 printer. I decided to give it to my niece, whose away at college. I was planning to purchase another 5660 but the 5663 was actually a lot cheaper!! Overall, the HP Envy 5663 is smooth and dependable. Glad I purchased it from BestBuy at such a good price!

Having had to switch to a new printer without a Fax, this printer fills my need very well and so far has performed very much to my expectations.

It installed easily but would not print. For the install, on HP’s web page (123.hp.com) download will automatically find the most recent update of the printer’s program. (Instead of the supplied CD) I downloaded separately for Laptop and for Desktop. Did not use smart phone app (supplied guide and various Utube videos suggest using the app to connect the printer to modem. It copied and it scanned to computer and email. However, Best Buy’s Geek Squad (800 number) needed to fix printing problem, which they quickly got it working on Laptop and Desktop. In the guide, HP should highlight and provide greater emphasis about this problem-solving technique: 1) power down; and then 2) power up again in the following order - modem, printer and computer. The Geek did that for the laptop. The desktop needed the Geek to take control of the computer and tweak it (problems with some drivers, etc. needing to be reinstalled). Features: Download this model from HP.com for complete description and specs. Wirelessly prints from computer and scans to computer or scans to send email directly to recipient. (No printer cable is supplied.) The copy, scan, photo features are on the touch-screen and work seamlessly. HP Printer Assistant provides easily-understood scanning options plus lots more: clean cartridges, set preferences, see the print queue, on and on. To print documents/photos stored on computer hard drive, use the computer’s print functions. The paper tray accommodates 4” to 11.5” wide by up to 14” long stock. The scanner bed is 8.5” by 11.75” The photo tray accommodates ONLY 4” x 6” paper, but can load any size in the 8.5” bed. Print directly from SD memory card (My Fuji film camera card does not fit the slot). The machine fits nicely on my 12” wide bookshelf and needs about 12” height clearance (Opening to change ink). The major difference between other Envy models is mostly in price. For $50 less than the 5660, the HP 4520 prints scans copies and is lighter weight; while the HP 7640 has a document feeder (added $50). Printer Assistant advises how to print from smart phone/tablet on following: Apple with iOS 4.3+ iPhone, iPad, IPod --- Samsung Galaxy Devices ---Google Nexus Devices --- All other Android™ based w/ 2.0+ operating systems --- Microsoft Surface --- HP Elitepads --- Windows 8+ Tablets --- Win 10 Mobile --- Chromebooks, Chrome OS --- Amazon Fire Devices I rate it 4 stars because it did not seamlessly work to print when installed. HP needs to improve their software for Windows 10 OS. I reservedly recommend it, assuming that (hopefully) the problems that have occurred for hundreds of users who down grade it don’t happen to me.

This printer is a great bargain for a full duplex color printer. I appreciate the simplicity and ease of use. Bluetooth and Airpint work seamlessly with an iPhone. I was able to setup in 20 minutes going through tutorial on the phone took all but 5 minutes and the rest was unboxing and figuring out where to put the thing. It is larger than my last printer but didn’t have full duplex or all the bells and whistles this printer has. I’m very pleased with an HP product.

This HP Envy 5663 is an excellent printer. It is a little slower than I would like, but it is easy to set up and use and it makes excellent black and white and color copies. I only wish I had bought a printer that has fax capabilities. I don't understand why it is no longer available.

Hardware is great. Print quality excellent. Cartridges are simple; only two are needed. The only problem we had was keeping a connection with our network. Our daughter had had the same problem. Eventually, after several fixes using HP self-help tools, I sought technical support. The tech I had was excellent. There seemed to be a corrupted file, he thought, but whatever else he did really worked. We have not had a problem since then (knock wood!). I wonder if HP would do better to get the software right from the beginning.

I have been using hp printers for past 2 years, I had a 2540 (basic inkjet). I replaced it with 5663 which is a Bestbuy specific model. I bought it on a daily deal for $40 less. I loved the setup. It was easy and the top touch panel is very handy. It helps me with quick network setup when I changed my router ssid and discovery and printing is a very easy task. The print quality is good. Some one reviewed it and told that it makes lot of sound, but I did not observe too much sound. It was decent enough unless you are printing in a cold silent night where this guy echos. Decent printer for home printing.

I purchased this on sale to replace ten year old HP 3210 All-in-one printer which I could not connect to wirelessly. It has a slightly smaller footprint and is lighter, so it fit right in where the old one was. I have it running on my home network via the USB port, but it also available as a wireless printer for anyone on my wi-fi. HP has a neat little app for my iphone which lets me print from Apple devices. The only caveat I will offer is that it has no ethernet connection for those who need one.

We used to have a copier at our small store and it died. We don't use it a ton and the speed is not a factor. The quality is great, but if you need something high speed and high volume, this may not be the best choice for you. It is wireless and dependable. That is what we needed.

Had it for a few months and so far works fine. We just use it for printing and haven’t used any other features.
